Camp K Nine

Luis is an incredible dog trainer. I’ve been taking private classes and recently graduated into group classes. I’ve learned how to better communicate with my dog and continue to see improvements! Luis works with clients based on needs, at their homes or at his business location. His outcomes speak for themselves. Whether you’re involved in your dog’s training or you want a hands off option where he does it for you, Luis can handle it all.

I highly recommend Camp K Nine! Luis is an incredibly knowledgeable and patient trainer who truly cares about the dogs and their owners. My dog, Lainey, and I started with private lessons and now we go to the group training classes as well. I've seen such an amazing difference in her confidence, behavior, and obedience. I’m so happy with the progress she's made, and I can't thank Luis enough. If you're looking for a great trainer, Camp K Nine is the place to go!

It is most unfortunate that I had to write a 1 star review. I was seeking boarding for my dog with behavioral problems, who will not be able to join me on my destination wedding. I read a lot of good reviews here so I decided to give Camp K Nine a shot. I had initially called in and spoke with Luis in depth about my situation and he was very kind and reassured me that it would not be a problem. I tried to schedule a meet and greet with him, multiple attempts were made. Not sure if he was overwhelmed and kept forgetting or something else. Finally, after multiple attempts, we were able to do a meet and greet/assessment. With a charge, costing about almost $50.. I paid it before even receiving the service. On the day we met, Luis did his "assessment", which he mostly talked and watched me walk with my dog. Done. Now, I tried to arrange for boarding, again. Not sure if he was trying to sell me to have my dog train as well, but I agreed regardless. Multiple attempts made and again, no response. At this point, I had given up. I don't think the customers should have to be chasing to make arrangements. And he should not have agreed to it in the first place.. the business probably started off with good reviews, but now, I wouldn't consider them dependable.

I adopted my adult dog know he would need a lot of love, patience, and work. He came from a bad background, having reactivity to new people and other dogs. I was able to make good, steady progress with his reactivity towards new people over the years. However, his reactivity towards other dogs has been extremely challenging and persistent, and I had reached a plateau with his progress, even after working with other trainers. I am thrilled with the results I am seeing from working with Luis! We’ve had three sessions, and in this short time, his barking and lurching at other dogs has greatly reduced and he also calms quickly now. I feel hopeful for the first time that it may be possible to eliminate this behavior with consistent work. I can’t recommend Luis enough to anyone navigating behavior issues with their dog. I just wish I had found him sooner!
