Calypso Canine

I cannot possibly say enough about my experience with Calypso Canine. Right from the start, when I reached out for information, Mike very promptly emailed me back with a wealth of information, and he entertained every single question I had with all the patience in the world. We chose the program best suited for my dog given the behaviors I wanted to correct. Knowing that they book out in advance because they intentionally only work with a smaller number of dogs at a time, I knew it was a long shot to ask if they could take my 7 month old German Shepherd while I was already going to be out of town for work about 3-4 weeks after my reach out. Mike worked some magic and agreed to take Luna during those dates - I was ecstatic. Mike communicated every step of the way leading up to the drop off, and was flexible with me even then when I was late due to traffic. He observed Luna's behavior with me and then did some basics with her himself. He showed me the training area and let me feel the collar so I knew exactly what Luna would feel, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. I knew when I left that day she was in good hands. While she was there for the 10 Day Dream Dog program, I received regular updates via text and could see them on Instagram too. Again - this gave me so much peace of mind, but also pride in my puppy and her progress. I couldn't wait to pick her back up. Once again, flexibility in scheduling pickup which I appreciated greatly. On graduation day, Mike demonstrated Luna's new skills for me, and then let me do the same and practice with her while in his presence. I was astounded by how different my dog was in 10 days! She is like a different dog now in her behavior, but in the best ways possible. I took her to a horse show the very next day, told her to lay down in place and she listened immediately and STAYED there for over an hour while other people, dogs and even horses walked within a foot of her. She didn't even think about budging. I vacuumed yesterday and she just sat and watched - before Calypso, she was barking at it and trying to bite it. Walks since coming home are so much more relaxed, loose leash the whole way, no hyperactive behavior when other dogs pass by. If you're even remotely thinking about it for your dog, do yourself a favor and contact Calypso Canine. You will thank yourself later for having the best pup on the block. My husband and I sent our one year old labradoodle for training. We didn’t know what to expect since she wasn’t technically a puppy anymore but wow she is a different dog! Calypso exceed our expectations. She is doing everything we requested and more. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for any kind of dog training but especially if you just want your dog to be obedient like we did. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
