Hamza is changing our lives for the better! I didn't know what I was doing with my fearful, fighter/biter heeler, and just after three sessions I am seeing such an improvement in my girl, Juniper. We are SO grateful and feeling much more confident in our training and every day lives. I’m very disappointed with my experience at Cali K9. I paid a significant amount of money for professional training, but all the trainers did was point out challenges I was already aware of with my dog. While they gave me tips and “homework” to work on at home, they were unable to successfully demonstrate these techniques with me and my dog during our on-site sessions. If the professionals couldn’t make progress with my dog, how was I supposed to? I chose Cali K9 because I was struggling to train my (very stubborn) dog on my own and wanted expert help. They advertise that they can train any dog, but my experience proved otherwise. Even two trainers admitted that my dog was “too stubborn” and “too smart” to listen, which felt incredibly discouraging. Each session felt repetitive, focusing on the same techniques without any noticeable progress, leaving me frustrated and disheartened. At the very least, I expected encouragement or alternative strategies when things weren’t working. Unfortunately, I didn’t get that, and I regret trusting Cali K9 with my dog’s training. For the premium price, I expected much more. I ended up pulling my dog out.

Disclaimer before I begin my review: No matter how good the trainers and training sessions are, there is no magic substitute for putting in the work. You will get out what you put in, no short cuts. Cali K9 can give you and your dog all the tools for success but it's still up to you to do the work and make it happen. Any trainer that says differently isn't telling the truth. I signed my puppy up for Cali K9 private & semi-private training sessions as soon as he got his last parvo shots. As a large and powerful breed I knew socialization and training were critical to start as soon as possible. After we completed those we continued training with weekly group classes starting in beginner's class before moving on to intermediate and finally advanced group class (mainly off leash). Cali K9 gave me the system and tools I needed to help my dog reach his full potential in obedience and discipline. He is often praised by family, friends, and strangers in public for being well behaved and he's complimented as being such a good dog. While he's a great dog (the best, in my humble opinion!) what they don't understand is the countless hours of training and discipline that it took to get him there. The training staff that I've worked with is super knowledgeable and patient. The training and tips are consistent from trainer to trainer (I've worked with Jas, Zay, Juan, and Nick). Everyone is great at being encouraging but also identifying areas to work on, troubleshooting and answering questions, and modeling techniques when needed. San Jose isn't a short commute for me but it's been well worth it for the tools and relationship it's allowed me to have with my dog. The experience has been priceless and I would recommend Cali K9 to anyone looking for dog training with no hesitation.

My husband and I did some research beforehand and discovered Cali K9 . We connected with the founder Jas’s mission and loved that he came from the same community . My spouse and I agreed if we were going to dedicate time and money we were going to work with Jas/Cali K9 . We have 2yr old male French bulldog .prior to the program he knew basic commands would pull during walks and aggressive toward other dogs . We started in July and I couldn't be happier with the results. The trainers are knowledgeable and patient, creating a positive environment that encourages learning. My dog has shown remarkable progress in just a few weeks, responding better to commands and becoming more well-behaved overall. The program covers a variety of skills and techniques, making it easy to incorporate training into our daily routine. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to strengthen their bond with their dog and improve their behavior!

Thank You Jas & Cali K9 team! Stella was an extremely fearful, nervous, and anxious Catahoula rescue. She used aggression to compensate for her fear of everything. Very unstable dog. The reality of the situation was that after several biting instances, putting her down was becoming a real possibility. My research led me to Cali K9. Jas’s experience with aggressive dogs and his training methodology convinced me to spend the money, time, and effort to attempt to save Stella. I’m so glad I did. The results have been spectacular. When I picked her up after the 4 week Board & Train, Stella’s trainer Devin, had her doing obedience drills I never thought possible. Same with agility drills that are designed to instill confidence and self assurance. I’m totally sold on agility drills for training purposes. We are currently attending group lessons. Great for more confidence building and socialization around other dogs and people. The future looks bright for Stella & me due to Jas and his awesome team. I just can’t tell you how much I recommend Cali K9!
