I can’t recommend this training company enough! Everyone is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely invested in helping both dogs and their owners succeed. When we first brought Luna, our Rottweiler puppy, to class, she was very shy and nervous around new dogs and unfamiliar situations. The transformation has been amazing. She has become so much more confident and is even used to help other dogs during training because of her calm, submissive temperament. Rottweilers are known for being intelligent but can also be stubborn, so having the right guidance has made all the difference. We knew this going into adopting our rottie and took the time to research companies. I honestly love that it isn’t like a typical big company where they teach the basic commands and training is done. Cactus K9 does their training more with unexpected distractions that we, as humans, can’t control. Luna has learned so much in a short amount of time, including sit, stay (even at long distances), leave it, drop it, and shake with both paws…all with natural distractions taking place at various locations. And she’s only 4 1/2 months old! The trainers have even commented on how advanced she is for her age. Compared to some of her littermates who are still working through things like ankle biting, food aggression, and basic obedience, Luna has avoided many of those challenges, and I truly believe that’s a testament to the training we’ve received here. And one thing that isn’t said enough, going to training is the start of the foundation, but you as your dogs owners need to continue the training even at home to see true results. The trainers don’t just teach your dog…they teach you how to communicate and build a strong relationship with your dog. We’re so grateful for everything they’ve done for Luna and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and supportive training team!
