Working with Gia at K-9 By My Side Training has been one of the best decisions for both me and my dog. Gia is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and truly understands that every dog learns differently. She takes the time to build confidence not only in the dogs, but in the owners too, and creates such a positive and supportive training environment. My dog has grown so much through our time with Gia, and I’m so grateful for all the guidance, encouragement, and dedication she’s given us along the way. What stands out most is how much Gia genuinely cares about the relationship between dog and owner — it’s never just about training, it’s about teamwork and trust. Getting a puppy was much more work than we anticipated, but By My Side K9 Training helped us manage our puppy’s behaviors and hold ourselves accountable as responsible pet owners. The trainer was very respectful of our desired lifestyle with our puppy, and allowed us to tailor our training to reflect our end goal for our puppy’s behavior in the future. By My Side K9 Training (BMSK9) has been excellent for my rescue pitty and me! After adopting my pitty, I dove into reading about training and following trainers online but I was at a loss to where to start with so much information. I found BMSK9 through an online search and decided to give it a try - and I'm so happy I did! BMSK9 has helped to strengthen my relationship with my dog and has provided me with so much practical knowledge and skills in improving my dog's confidence, self control, and obedience. My pitty struggles with fear-driven reactivity and over stimulation, but Gia has really taken the time to understand my dog's needs and strengths and has been very instructive, encouraging, and informative. Gia's general knowledge has also been such a great resource as she has supported me with matters of my dog's diet and overall health. My dog and I have a long way to go, but I'm confident that BMSK9's instruction and guidance will help us get there quicker than doing it on our own! I would highly recommend BMSK9 to anyone! 2026 Update: My boy and I are still working and will need to keep working. But through the highs and lows, BMSK9 continues to prove their worth with their training perspective and regiment, encouragement, knowledge and expertise, and of course, patience and understanding for me!
