Buckeye K9 prepares the dog and the owner by training both on the necessary capabilities required for the therapy dog training class and certification test. After a period with Buckeye K9, you will graduate out of Buckeye K9, ready to enroll in therapy dog classes that culminate with a therapy dog certification test.

Yes! They can do service dog training. I highly recommend Lori and her staff for any training needs. I've use her a few times and have recommended to friends who have had awesome results. In fact, her business has my newest member of the family as I write this!

My dog Abbey does great with commands in the house and did good outside until a couple months ago. Now she wants to bolt when you take her outside, what can I do?
We would want to put off leash control on your dog so if she tries to run off you can have full control of her and call her back to you.

Do they help with older dogs who have behavior issues as well as potty issues?

We had a rescued a Golden Retreiver puppy mill Mom who was afraid of the world. We did basic training, Canine Good Citizenship and Therapy Dog training with Buckeye K9 and today our Golden works several days a week as a therapy dog in and around Columbus!

I boarded my dogs over a holiday week and we have never boarded them before. We toured the facility prior to booking and everything was clean and the staff were informative. My pets came home healthy, free of fleas, and unharmed. They helped me to load the car on my way out which I very much appreciated. Having never boarded before, I absolutely overpacked things for them. I am leaving 4 stars because I was a little disappointed to find that only two of the treats I purchased were given to them over the course of a week. I sent several chews, treats, toys, and food toppers because my Aussie never eats when we are away. Everything I sent was returned back to me unopened except the dog food and two of the treats. I also asked for updates and only got one 4 days in after I reached out to see if they were ok. They were fully booked in a busy season, we understood, but I was a little disappointed. I’m appreciative of the care they gave to our pets. It is nice to know we have a safe place for them to stay when we need one.
Adopted our 120lb GSD when he was 1 year old and he was not socialized properly, so we don't feel comfortable leaving him with just anyone for his safety and that of other dogs. Buckeye K9 is great, staff is great and he is always well taken care of.
