If you are considering training your dog to be useful for therapy and healing, Buckeye k9 provides therapy dog training. Here’s how it works. Buckeye K9 is very familiar with the therapy dog training class as well as the therapy dog certification test. Buckeye K9 prepares the dog and the owner by training both on the necessary capabilities required for the therapy dog training class and certification test. After a period with Buckeye K9, you will graduate out of Buckeye K9, ready to enroll in therapy dog classes that culminate with a therapy dog certification test.

Yes! They can do service dog training. I highly recommend Lori and her staff for any training needs. I've use her a few times and have recommended to friends who have had awesome results. In fact, her business has my newest member of the family as I write this!

My dog Abbey does great with commands in the house and did good outside until a couple months ago. Now she wants to bolt when you take her outside, what can I do?
We would want to put off leash control on your dog so if she tries to run off you can have full control of her and call her back to you.

Do they help with older dogs who have behavior issues as well as potty issues?

Our Lucy stayed for a week of training and boarding. Buckeye k9 met our expectations completely. Very happy with the things Lucy has learned. Soon we will schedule her again, to further her training as planned.

Race, our 1 year old mini Aussie stole our hearts, all in all a good dog, but when excited he was difficult to control, so we found ourselves unable to take him out of the house. We knew he needed trained, so, after some research we chose a residency program at Buckeye K9. We were apprehensive of leaving our boy and spending so much money. We dropped him off during our 8 day vacation. And we're pleased with the daily communication from the trainers. They sent daily updates and photos and answered any questions we had along the way. The team really put us at ease. I wasn't really sure what to expect when we picked up Race. They took time to teach us all he had learned, provided us a packet to take home. They also gave us definitions of the basic commands. This helps us understand how best to communicate with our pup. The real test was still to come for us. Taking him out of the house. We took a family trip to our local Lowes, and we were ecstatic with the result. A very well behaved dog who minded his manners. I messaged the owner and told her we were so happy and that just this 1 trip alone was worth every penny we spent. It's now been a month since Race went to training, and I still feel the same way. All of the unwanted behaviors, such as barking at cars, jumping on guests, normal dog things, we have been able to correct by just using the basic obedience commands. Worth every penny!! Highly recommend Buckeye K9. We can't thank them enough for helping us include our pup in all areas of out life.
