BTS K9 Dog Training and Boarding

We used BTS K9 for a board & train with our dog-reactive German Shepherd and can not recommend them enough! They put such great fundamentals in place with him, and taught us the tools we would need to successfully continue his training at home. We often now get asked if he is a service dog, which NEVER would have happened before. Walking him was once a stressful thing to do, but since his training with BTS K9, adventuring with him is one of our favorite things to do. They are also the only place we trust to board him when we travel.

Thankful for BTSK9 teaching our pup the basics! I loved the updates and the training videos! Once Sully reintigrated back into the home, he started to relax a bit and does good at home... especially when he has his "ecollar" on because he knows it's time to really listen then :) Sully went for two weeks puppy board n train, where the slip lead and prong collar were used. I really wish I would have booked him a longer e-collar training instead! The trainers at this facility are very knowledgeable and dedicated to helping teach and train. Sully has much more confidence coming out of this training!!! Unfortunately, my only concern is that Sully did have to go to the vet upon returning home due to a cough caused by a throat injury of some kind that the vet says happens with prong collars/pulling and tugging at the neck. He is now on cough suppression at night time and is no longer able to use a collar which is how sully was trained at his board n train. Sully is doing better, but still has tracheal spasms. The vet recommended harness & ecollar (vinration & sound settings) only. I know that this injury did not happen intentionally and the staff at BTSK9 really truly care about all the dogs they train, so that is why 5 stars are given despite having to take Sully for an unexpected vet visit in order to get him some relief. I plan to look into boarding and ecollar training at this facility next!

Our dude went into the 2 week board and train program reactive, nervous, and unable to settle. Throughout his stay we received many video updates of obedience trainings and field trips that he got to go on for training out and about. Two weeks later we picked up a confident dude that can feel comfortable to handle himself around other pups and can finally relax around the house and out and about. KK stayed with us at our pick up training well past the allotted time to ensure that I as handler felt confident with how to help guide him around other dogs as well. Beyond grateful for this team.
