I’ve had several bad experiences with this trainer. She has been incredibly unresponsive. Several times while boarding my dogs I couldn’t get a simple reply when I texted. I contacted her about training and heard nothing. Moved on and months later met with her again to set up long term training. She agreed to this and then 100% ghosted me. We planned to meet biweekly and she never replied after I gave her a week to contact me and come up with a training plan. She gave herself a five star review saying she goes above and beyond for her clients but her unprofessional way of managing her business is enough for me to no longer use her. I am so apppalled that she fell off the radar countless times and doesn’t provide follow up leaving me high and dry. I will not recommend her due to this. She is very expensive compared to seasoned trainers who charge the same or less and provide a full training plan and are excited to earn your business. Look elsewhere.

I will never board my dog here again. My husband and I boarded our 6 month old husky Jax for a week during our honeymoon. I checked in with Kim about mid week to see how he was doing, her response was he was doing great and having fun. The afternoon we returned home my husband went to get Jax, and called me as soon as he picked him up and told me that Jax has a huge wound on the side of his neck. This was caused by an allergic reaction to a bark collar Kim used, without any consent from either of us to use it, and there is no mention of a bark collar anywhere in the contract. What IS in the contract is that we would be contacted immediately if there was any sort of medical concern. In conjunction she tried to clean and treat the wound without any authorization or input from us about what we’d like to do. She had initially told my husband it happened the first day he was there, but got mixed up and later told me it was the day before we picked him up. Now, not only did we pay $320 to board Jax, we paid $140 for his visit to the vet the following day. The vet gave Jax some medications, but a couple of days later his wound looked worse. Because of where the wound was we could not put a cone on to prevent the itching, nor his collar because it would rub. He required strict supervision for nearly two weeks on top of pills twice a day. Coming home to that after our honeymoon was a nightmare. Even though the contract does say the owner is responsible for vet bills, I felt that her breach of the contract and the use of the bark collar would persuade her to reimburse for the vet bill. I emailed Kim on June 21, and didn’t hear anything. I emailed her again on July 2, didn’t hear anything. I text her on July 3, didn’t hear anything. Text again on Thursday July 5, and she asked me to resend my email. She told me she would respond by the end of the day Monday July 9. 7pm on Monday I hadn’t heard from her, so I text her again and finally got an answer after two and a half weeks. Kim told me she would only pay half, which is certainly better than nothing, but this never would have been an issue if she had stayed within the guidelines of her own contract, which I would thoroughly read if you’re even considering boarding a dog here.
