We can't say enough great things about Doug! From the moment he started working with our dog, it was like magic. The way she responded to him was incredible and we saw improvements almost immediately. Doug has a natural ability to connect with dogs while also teaching owners how to build on that success. He's patient, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what he does. The training was practical, effective, and gave us the confidence to continue reinforcing what we learned. I can't thank BEotL and Doug enough. Personalized attention to addressing in home and public behaviors. While we still have a ways to go in our training, this puppy and I are learning what it takes to have a public and home friendly dog. Doug has been working with my husband and I and our four year old dog for six weeks now. He is knowledgeable, patient, and compassionate, and has a knack for teaching that is effective. His follow up session notes are both timely and helpful. The areas that we have worked together on are 1)dog reactivity, 2)greeting people nicely, 3)stop barking in the house and at the door, 4)reinforcing basic commands - sit, down, stay, come, and walking nicely on a leash. We are still working with our dog but have already learned so many helpful tips and tricks. We are happy to report that our dog can now sit in “place” when we answer the door, the barking in the house has nearly ceased, and he no longer jumps up on people that he greets! In addition, he will sit, stay, come, and walks more cooperatively on a leash. Overall, we are very pleased and would highly recommend Doug as a dog trainer.
