Working with Jeff has changed our life! Our two year old Mini Goldendoodle, Duke, was beginning to exhibit reactivity towards children and within a few months working with Jeff, Duke is able to sit under a table at a restaurant, walk by my side without a struggle, and has given us the freedom to experience life with him again! We no longer fear Dukes inconsistent behavior because we now have a routine that has given him (and us) confidence. I am very grateful for our time spent this summer and will continue working together so Duke can enjoy travel, meeting new people, and even his alone time. Thank you Boston K9!

Jeff was AMAZING in helping with our Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler who suffered from leash aggression. We worked together through the winter and Jeff had all the tools, was easy to communicate with, even offering ample advice via text in between lessons. He would come train at our home, suggest dog safe parks and places, bring his own dogs to safely train alongside. We cannot recommend Boston K9 and Jeff enough! Our dog is a whole new boy with the tools and practice we gained!

We were recommended to Jeff and worked with him on Logan’s fairly severe reactivity issues. Logan is a rescue with significant fear and reactivity—primarily toward strangers and often on leash—which makes it very difficult for him to trust new people. Logan is a big boy, so unfortunately his reactivity would include lunging and other behaviors that made it challenging for him to be around unfamiliar people. After a bad board and train experience during the height of covid and unable to meet and train around new people, both my and Logan’s confidence suffered. Jeff had so much patience in finding ways to help and work with Logan. He was never judgmental or critical and maintained a very balanced, thoughtful approach. We trained in a variety of different types of areas (our home, parks, busier city areas) and scenarios, which really showed how flexible Jeff is in adapting his approach depending on the environment and what Logan needed. He worked with me as the owner just as much as he worked directly with Logan, helping us both learn how to navigate the behavior in a productive way. Our only regret is not meeting Jeff sooner ! We have seen meaningful improvement in Logan’s behavior, and also learned a great deal throughout the process. Training a reactive dog is definitely ongoing and there is no 100% “cure” for reactivity, but we have learned how to manage his behavior much better and handle situations in a more controlled and confident way. Jeff is always supportive and encouraging and we continue to refresh Logan’s training.

Jeff from Boston K9 LLC was amazing! I reached out to him for help with my reactive 4-month old Dutch Shepard puppy, and he was incredibly responsive, enthusiastic, and flexible. Plus my puppy absolutely loved him! During our first session he spent some time playing and interacting with my puppy to evaluate his temperament and behavior. He then introduced us to several basic obedience commands, breaking them down into easy to follow steps. He also identified a trigger my puppy had that I wasn’t even aware of, and set me up with specific daily exercises to reduce this. At the end of our first session, Jeff gave us easy to follow daily training homework to do before our next meeting, training supplies, and a personalized list of recommended lifestyle changes to set us up for success. I can’t recommend him enough!
