I just recommended Boston Dogtor again and felt it was time to write a review. What brought me to Gevorg and his team was my Great Pyr/Saint Bernard mix who became unpredictably aggressive when he hit sexual maturity around 3. Gevorg is truly gifted when it comes to nervous anxious aggressive dogs and my relationship with Rosko was changed for the positive forever after the 6 week board and train. The board & train allowed Rosko to learn so much so quickly but importantly, I was involved throughout the process to both learn and reinforce everything that had been taught. When a few new issues emerged well after the training, Gevorg came to the house to diagnose and fix issues using the same positive reinforcement training that worked so well during the board & train. The warranty is real with this trainer. I continue to use Boston Dogtor for all of their services with my other dogs including training, day care and boarding.

My rescue of 5 years reacted very protectively and reactively after I suffered a serious illness. My vet suggested putting him down as I lived alone with him and we couldn’t be sure if this reactivity would also be targeted at me. I just couldn’t put down my healthy boy and heard about Gevorg and BostonDogtor from a close friend. I called and Gev came almost immediately. Long story short, Thomas is a different dog and I am a much better owner! Gev offers a guarantee and I know we both can go for a refresher anytime. Even better, Thomas loves boarding with Gev and his amazing staff and goes willingly! We are both so much happier.

10/10 recommend: Gevorg and his team are absolutely incredible!! They are truly gifted in the field of canine behavior & behavioral modification. Gevorg was recommended to me by a friend in July 2023. At the time, my husband and I were seeking immediate help with our 1yr old German Shepherd (Duke). Duke had been going to a different trainer in Boston for roughly 6 months when they shut down after receiving allegations of neglect, tethering, and abuse. This trainer did bite work with our pup without telling us (and god knows what else) leading to worsening behavior over time. His anxiety, responses to triggers, and dislike for people and other dogs amplified. His behavior was uncontrollable and that point. I called Boston Dogtor & left a voicemail describing my needs; within minutes Gevorg returned my call and answered all my questions. He was open, honest, and transparent about what needed to be done. He immediately set up an initial evaluation appointment where he came to our home and observed his behavior at home. Afterwards, he began some basic handling and training exercises. My husband and I were amazed at how calm Gevorg was, how naturally he handled our pup, and how respectfully our dog responded to him. Gevorg offered several options for moving forward and gave us the time to consider them without pressure. From there, we scheduled routine sessions at home, on-site, and even at third party locations to expose Duke to new environments. We even sent him to a 6-week board and train program while we were on our honeymoon. After that Duke began daily daycare sessions (which we lovingly refer to as “camp”) there and absolutely loves it. He looks forward to going to “camp” every day and always leaves there jumping & bouncing around like a goofy, happy, pup. We’ve been taking him there consistently for the past 18 months and the progress shows. Our dog’s behavior is not perfect but he is a much happier, well-rounded, curious, and anxiety free pup. I am so glad we met Gevorg and his team, they have truly become like part of the family!! ❤️

Gevorg & Serina are AMAZING!!!! I have no idea where I would be right now without their help for my big puppy Great Dane Guinness. I had always had smaller dogs but needed a big dog due to a balance issue I have and the need for a service dog. Our adventure started in January on ‘24 and he now gets such strong and the bond just growing. The older Guinness gets the more he learns and the more prestige he carries in public because (sure I’m his Dog mom but he’s a handsome pup hahaha) He stands out among other dogs and when he is corrected he listens and people want to know where we’ve learned that. I show them the website and have given the phone number and explained the process what we went through. I even mention that there are times I have to drive by the facility to go to my sister’s house and Guinness gets so excited things we are going to see his “friends” but then is upset because we don’t stop hahah I know even if he goes there for daycare he will also have continues reminders to do the right things all the time. I also like that I can reach out and ask them a question if I need to if I have a question at anytime. I love that they are completely honest right back and will tell me if they think I’m not being strong enough on some aspect on some part of his training - I need reminders to stay on top of things with the big guy. I love that I found someone who we have matched with to help us get my big baby grow into this fine young teenager who will become a fine young studly Service Dog 😊

Gevorg boarded our rescue miniature schnauzer who was aggressive towards strangers (including minor bites), increasingly disobedient and had performed very poorly at previous training. We also had regular follow ups with him throughout the following months. Since his training, our dog is much more trusting of strangers and generally more confident when out in the world. His obedience has come on leaps and bounds and we’ve learned many techniques to keep his training progressing. He’s increasingly becoming excited as opposed to terrified when people enter the home and we hope this will continue to progress thanks to his training. He’s also now great on the lead and also become great with other dogs. Gevorg is very busy and popular but it’s definitely worth it if you have a challenging case. We don’t know what we would have done without his training!
