I have owned dogs my whole life, but I have never dealt with a breed as stubborn as my hound. I wanted a companion dog, but his drive to hunt and bark made him feel unstoppable. Macy did an amazing job with our 100 lb 1 year old bloodhound Sissy. If you know bloodhounds you know they are very stubborn, slobbery and sweet all rolled in one. I bought all sorts of books thinking I could train her myself but learned real quick that wasn’t a job for me. Just like I couldn’t home school my kids that’s definitely a special job for a special teacher and that’s not me.
