Boss K9

I am so grateful I found Boss K9; I have owned a few dogs before I got Basil and those were all normal experiences. I rescued Basil who is a husky/Australian shepherd mix. A few days after getting him I started to notice he was more fearful of loud noises and movements than any other dog I have had. This turned into being fearful of people and other dogs which turned into aggressive behaviors. Nipping and biting family members, growling, lunging and I was unable to take him out into public and no one could visit us. I was truly at my wits end but I didn’t want to give up on Basil; I thought he could do more and thanks to Boss K9 he can. We have been working with Anna, Audrey and Bethany for over a year now and Basil has improved leaps and bounds. His first time he did a 5 week board and train and we just finished another board a train of two weeks for a touch up. Basil still has limitations and there will be things that Basil won’t be able to do but with Boss K9’s help he has many more things he can do now that he couldn’t before. The team at Boss K9 is so committed to helping you and your dog live a fulfilled life together it shows in everything that they do. I recommend Boss K9 to everyone I meet; I have a more extreme case with Basil but they were more than willing to take his case on and now I have an amazing resource to get training for both Basil and myself. I have a lot of hope for Basils future and wouldn’t have that without the great team at Boss K9

We've been long time multi-dog owners, but when we acquired an extremely active, mischievous and digestively challenged aussie puppy, our household was heading into crisis. The Boss K9 team not only provided foundational tools to our family through the board and train program, and continue to support us with boarding and grooming services that we trust completely. Anna and the BK9 team offer kindness and wisdom every time we see them, and we're so glad to have them as part of our family's care community.

Hands down the best investment I could have ever made for myself and my puppy. Exceeded my expectations. For the longest time I've dreamed of having a dog that I could truly share all of my life experiences with (travels, starting a family, exploring the outdoors, time with friends etc) but the scariest part of that is not being sure if your dogs behaviors will allow for those dreams to come true! Remi is a mixed breed rescue, which means we were prepared for anything and everything when it came to uncertain behaviors. We began working with Anna + the Boss K9 crew when Remi was just 5/6 months old, and the transformation we saw in our dog and our relationship with our dog was almost unbelievable after only 2 months of training. Remi was insecure, a bit anxious but also VERY high energy and somewhat uncontrollable when she was around her people and very difficult on walks. Anna came to our home every week and truly listened to our concerns and our hopes for our dog. She built a beautiful relationship with Remi (she peed all over the floor the first time she met Anna, was so nervous and timid. By our 3rd session she would wag her tail, smile and howl from excitement when she would see her) and genuinely showed us that she cared not only for our dog but for us as her owners! Anna is a marvelous teacher - she won't just show up and train your dog but she will show you the ropes and help you feel confident as a pet owner so that you can continue to do the training work and see progress when you are on your own (which is ESSENTIAL for your dogs success!). She also won't hesitate to tell you what NOT to do, which I loved. Remi is now much more confident, obedient and controlled without having lost any of her dazzling, weird personality. I was literally devastated when our training sessions were over, I didn't want them to end! But it feels amazing and helps me feel confident knowing that we now have the Boss K9 team + community to lean on whenever we need anything from grooming to training touch-ups to boarding in a safe space if needed! Boss K9 has been invaluable for our family! We sent our energetic pup Teddy there for a 2 week board and train when he was 7 months old - 3 months before our daughter was born. They provided us with the tools and skillset to ensure Teddy could join every aspect of our family’s life through his wonderful training - long loose leash walks, proper interactions with our cats and newborn, and a schedule that worked for our family. The follow up lessons were exceptional for maintaining all of our skills and honing in on areas that needed fine tuning. THANK YOU to BossK9 for helping Teddy be the best, most loving dog he can be.
