Boss K9

Boss K9 is worth every penny. My dog Cosmo did a 4 week board and train. The transformation is unbelievable. Cosmo no longer is an uncontrollable, hyperactive crazy animal. She walks on a leash, no longer jumps and Cosmo now gets along with my mother's dog Nessie. Anna has had a solution to every problem I presented. She is teaching me the best way to communicate with Cosmo. Cosmo is now a part of the family. They also provide boarding for clients. They were there for me when an emergency came up and I needed to board Cosmo. It was one less thing to stress about because I knew she was in great hands. In addition to training they also provide socialization with owners and their dogs in a pack walk. All of their clients are welcome no matter where they are in their training journey. I'd recommend Boss K9 to anyone!

I was referred to Boss K9 from a work colleague after I literally lost the role of alpha in my household. I have an amazing Pitbull named Sarg. He just turned 2. I got him as a puppy but failed to realize the structure and training needed with some dogs. I thought that showering him with love and spoiling him would do the trick but I learned quickly that I was wrong. Anna responded quickly when I called and I could tell that she cared for not just my dog but my family also. Making the choice to send him away was very hard for us but I trusted her and her training facility in their recommendations. She listened to the description of what was going on in my house between my dogs with the fighting. I wanted to save my dog and to make sure that no one got hurt in my house trying to break this up. I wanted to place an honest review so I waited some time post training to give what Boss K9 was able to do for my family after training and in the long run. My Pitbull Sarg is one of the most important members of our family. I am a single mom w 3 daughters. Sarg Just turned two and has been home after 6 weeks with Anna and her crew at Boss K9. Truthfully if They would not have stepped in and helped us Sarg would not have made it. He had some how developed pretty intense anxiety, dog aggression, and people aggression with those he didn’t know due to his extreme protectiveness over me and my girls. He loves kids and adults he knows. He loves his brothers but as he came into adulthood he would not give up the role that I didn’t realize he had taken over in my household. When the doorbell would ring or someone would knock he would attack my other dog. I could not walk him without lunging at any dog he saw and almost pulling my arm out Of the socket trying to control him. Anna was very honest with me about nothing being a sure thing or easy w the issues he had or has. She told me that it will be a lot of work for not just him but also for us as his family when he came home needing to keep up the structure and practice his skills regularly. I learned as much as Sarg has learned with how to be a responsible dog owner, creating and maintaining a calmer structured atmosphere at home which Is not an easy feat w 3 children under 12. With the tools and skills Sarg learned, I have been able to continue on with what they taught me and also my girls who are a tremendous help. Anna included all of us in the training, even my 7 year old. Sarg will never be without his issues but the training allows him to be a much better calmer version of himself. He lives a much better happier quality of life. My children and I are much happier and at peace without the terrifying fighting between my dogs and we still have our Sarg in the family. We have followed up regularly and if there is any issue or concern Anna is there to talk me through, identify what went wrong and set him up for success as best as possible! Follow up sessions were amazing and gave us the opportunity to touch up or identify /work on additional things. So far so good!! Thank you guys for saving my boy and my sanity ❤️❤️

We adopted a 6 year old GSD earlier this year. After 6 years in a puppy mill being used for breeding she came to our home with very little confidence, anxiety, a crazy prey drive, terrible leash manners, and very little obedience skills. We decided to send our dog to Boss K9 for a month long board and train. Every week they sent us an update on the things she was learning and how she was doing. We counted down the days to her return, so the updates (which we obviously called pupdates) were really the highlight of those weeks. Anna brought our dog back to us last Tuesday and then taught us how to keep up with her new skills! The things our girl learned are incredible. She loves walks with us around our neighborhood and I don’t need a leash to take her to potty in the (non-fenced in) backyard. I never thought I would enjoy walking her (my arms aren’t super buff to keep her from pulling), but she no longer pulls or marks and that time of day is now my favorite! I’m so thankful for Boss K9 for instilling confidence and mad skill into Sandy. If your thinking about taking your dog there I highly recommend it!

TLDR: Bossk9 and Anna were wonderful to work with and I now have an amazing dog who listens exceptionally well. Everywhere we go he gets complimented on his obedience. We owe that all to the time and work BossK9 put in with my dog and I. I purchased a Great Dane puppy with the goal of having them certified as a therapy dog with the Cleveland Clinic. I knew right away that I would need some training classes for both myself and Norman (my dog). I was aware of BossK9 but was somewhat hesitant at first because it seemed to me like they mostly were dealing with dogs who had aggression or anxiety issues whereas I just had a puppy who needed training. I called and spoke with Anna, the owner, and she got us set up on a puppy advanced obedience program. I ended up working with Anna over several weeks getting Norman trained with basic obedience and off leash commands. Working with Anna was an amazing experience. She worked with Norman but most importantly me. She taught me how to have a deeper connection with Norman through our training. I've never had a dog listen as well as Norman. Week by week Anna would explain what the goal was of our session. She would then take Norman through a few exercises and then turn it over to me. The most beneficial part (for me at least) was her instructing me how to instruct Norman. It may not be something you really think of but it was little things like not repeating my self and making sure Norman was focused on me that really took his training and our bond to the next level. I can now take Norman almost anywhere on leash or off leash and he knows to stay right by my side until he is released from that position. I have even taken him to dog parks and if I call him to my side he will just sit there even as other dogs run up and try to get him to play. He will sit there and/or follow by my side until he released and then he knows it is okay to go play. I like to take Norman everywhere I go and Anna really has helped me and Norman get to that level. I feel comfortable taking him anywhere I go knowing that he will listen to me. The added bonus is that everywhere we go everyone is amazed by how well he listens. We often like to show off by doing some of his commands and then posing for pictures but what is always consistent is that he listens amazingly well and everyone is impressed. Working with Anna was worth every penny. I somewhat have an idea of what we did and could probably give it a go by myself with the next dog I get but I 100% plan on having Anna and her team involved in the training in some capacity. Anna and her team are dog trainers and they are a business but they also are a community. They post videos and tips for training on their social media as well as provide follow ups for their clients. They also have events for clients which provide more practice and exposure for owners and their dogs. I know the review gets at this but I just want to spell it out directly. I am very glad that I went with BossK9 over any other trainer or classes. I plan on seeing them again when I get another dog.
