Bonding with Buddies

I’ve had 4 dogs over 25 years, and I thought I did a pretty good job of training them; until I met Stu. I have to admit his training is different and more effective and his group classes are really a game changer. My newest dog, Cassie has a sweet temper but I hated her constantly pulling me on the leash which is uncomfortable and dangerous in the winter on the ice. Her exuberance when meeting other dogs or greeting people at our door was a problem. She would accidentally scratch people with her nails and cause friends fearful of dogs to cower. I didn’t want that. Cassie has learned, and is still learning, to be calm when I meet people in town with dogs. She will sit calmly when we meet children and she allows them to pet her. While she knew many “commands” including sit, stay, come and heel, but really they were only a suggestion. She only did them when she wanted. Now I can stop her with my voice, tell her to ignore food on the ground and sit/stay for minutes at a time even if I leave her. I’m grateful for what we’ve learned form Stu. She is now a “canine good citizen and we plan to train her as therapy dog so she can safely visit and bring joy to children and seniors.

Stu is an excellent dog trainer. His disciplined command and leash control system for dog training brings quick results. We had been having difficulty with our 2-year old Airedale, Chance, jumping up on people, pulling on his leash on walks, and taking off after squirrels and rabbits on impulse. After only two weeks of training with Stu, Chance was a changed dog - under control, responding promptly to verbal, hand and leash commands. His jumping on people and chasing after squirrels and rabbits had stopped. We are very happy with the results and would recommend training your dog with Stu.
