Bold City K9

I’ve known Britt (with Bold City K9) for years! She has had a huge positive impact on our family with the training and boarding of our Doberman, Nox. She has been involved in his training since he was a puppy. From the beginning Nox was a handful, his working line makes him full of energy and instinct. Britt has helped him (and us) learn tools to deal with his drive and anxiety, and give him manners and off leash capabilities! He’s truly a work-in-progress and Britt is always there to talk us through any issues and give him confidence! We’ll continue to rely on her for years to come. Thanks Britt!!!!

UPDATED!!! (2025) Call me crazy, I got another Doberman. This time, a 8 week puppy. We knew exactly who to bring her to. At 4 months we brought our new baby Luna to Courtney. We had such success with Draco, we wanted to start the training process early with our stubborn princess. Courtney has laid a great foundation for Luna to work on as she grows up. Draco is now 4 years old and continues to get compliments on his training by vets, neighbors and family. He’s such a good boy! Thank you Courtney! (2022) Courtney is the dog whisperer! I came across the opportunity to rescue a year old Doberman who needed to be re-homed. He was calm, sweet and very snuggly….. for the first week. Two weeks later with our new Dobie, Draco became comfortable with his new parents, new home and older German Shepherd brother. He showed his true Dobie energy and stubbornness. Draco was also playing too rough with our German Shepherd and not listening. When Draco would get frustrated trying to learn new commands, he would either run away or nip at us. Sending him to Courtney for training was THE BEST decision for not just us, but for Draco. Draco now listens to commands and walks on a leash without pulling out a shoulder. He’s such a fun dog now that we both have the tools to understand each other.

Bold City K9 has worked with all three of my dogs over the years, and somehow the experience keeps getting better every time. What really sets them apart is their commitment—not just to the dogs, but to growing as trainers. They’re never stuck in one approach. They’re constantly learning, evolving, and fine-tuning their methods to fit each dog’s unique personality—even if your dog is a total weirdo. You can tell they love what they do, and that passion comes through in every session. Even after the training ends, they’re incredibly supportive. If you ever have questions or run into challenges once your dog is back home, they’re just a message away—always ready to help, guide, and cheer you on. I’ve since moved out of state to Texas, but I still bring my dogs back to Florida for training with Bold City K9. It’s absolutely worth the trip—and the investment.

We are so thankful that we found Bold City K9! Our dog Goose was extremely reactive when we adopted him. Brit completely changed his life and our lives in just a month of training! Goose is so much calmer and happier and we are some much happier now that we know how to fulfill his needs and give him the best life possible. We went from not being able to take him for a walk around the neighborhood to now being able to allow him off leash at the park and the beach! We recommend Bold City K9 to everyone!

Update after 3 years: All the goodness and gratitude below still rings true!! Bold City K9 is the BEST of the best. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about how grateful I am to have invested in this for both my dog and myself – this training provided us with an unshakable foundation for him to live his happiest, most fulfilled, and highest quality life. I still board Louie several times a year, and I love that he gets training refreshers while there. I truly have complete trust and absolutely no worries every single time because I know he’s in the best care and always safe, fulfilled, and happy. Courtney and her team really do care deeply about every single dog, and they all are such wonderful people. Will forever be singing the praises of Bold City K9! Original review: Bold City K9 is AMAZING, and I will forever be grateful for the board & train program my Golden Retriever, Louie, completed in November 2021! After four weeks of training, Louie came home a miraculously changed boy in every way I could've wished for. He still has his sweet & goofy personality but is so much better behaved. All of the stressful things we once struggled with are no longer a problem - no more pulling on the leash when walking, not dropping items when told, constant jumping, lack of self-control, etc. This training was truly life-changing for both Louie and me, and our life together is so much more fulfilling and enjoyable! Nothing compares to the amount of joy I have when I take Louie on his daily walks and play sessions, or when I take him out on adventures to the beach, park, or stores/restaurants in town. Leaving your fur baby for so long is inevitably difficult, but knowing they are in great hands makes it much easier. Courtney is absolutely WONDERFUL, and I had immediate trust, respect, and comfort in her from the very first moment we met. I never worried about Louie and always knew he was getting the greatest care & fulfillment he needs. Courtney is so knowledgable about dog behavior & training and really takes the time to break it down for you in the most understandable and applicable way. I had several questions throughout the entire process, and Courtney would quickly and efficiently respond to every single one. She has also remained so helpful even after the training has been completed, and I know she genuinely cares about Louie and his continued progress. I tried many different trainers and techniques before enrolling Louie in training with Bold City K9, and all of them were not even close to being as successful as Courtney was with Louie. It is the best investment I've ever made, and not a day goes by where I'm not so thankful for his changed behavior! Thank you for everything, Courtney!!! Louie and I adore you!
