Bold City K9

My Woody was a 4-year-old Golden Retriever when he attended Bold City K9's 3-week training camp. Even though he had been to training several times, this was the first overnight camp. I used to say he was "pretty good" when it came to listening to me, but I definitely did not trust him off leash and there were times there was still a lot of pulling. I wanted to be able to give him (and me) more freedom, especially on our hikes in the woods. I loved my first conversation with Courtney and her methods. I knew this would work because Woody is a smart boy who loves his treats and being with people. Of course, I was sad to leave him for so long, but from the first few minutes, I could see he would be happy there. When we went to pick him up, Courtney reviewed all of the training he had and how important it was for me to keep up with it! The results were amazing. I still relied on a long leash just in case, but his recall was spot on. So much more fun to go on hikes! There have been a couple times I was leaving town for a couple weeks, so I re-enrolled Woody for a refresher and boarding since I knew he would be so safe there. The only reason he needed any kind of refresher was because I had not kept up my end of the training! Follow through is very important! I am so happy I found Bold City K9 and so is Woody!

Bold City K9 are phenomenal dog trainers. They have trained two of our pups over the last 8 years. Our Dutch Shepherd (one of their pups we adopted at 6 months) is very well trained with ecollar he’s confident and we can hike off leash. We have also only boarded our dogs with them because they offer training maintenance and my buddy gets plenty of exercise while there! Any issues we’ve had they respond quickly and offer helpful solution. Very nice family, wonderful experience.

We had the best experience, Bold City K9 exceeded out expectations. They not only care about what they do, but how they do it. Our Pup (Tavin) came back with all the skills and training needed (not only him but us as well) to better adapt into our family. Which made our experience with him that much more enjoyable. Bold City truly made all the difference in the world for us. Tavin now has the freedom he deserves and we have the confidence to enjoy life with him.
