Bmore Zen Dog Training

I have a different dog now. Actually two. I first came to RJ back in 2019 in tears because my bull terrier mix got in a fight with my mom's dog at Thanksgiving and I didn't know what to do. Eight private lessons later, Gus was a happy, off-leash boy with impeccable recall who I trust in pretty much every setting, coming with me on planes, trains, and automobiles. He and my mom's dog are also bffs again. Cut to my husband and I deciding to get a second dog -- a little street rat who hid her food, barked at neighbors, delivery people, squirrels, family members, and pretty much anything else that moved. We contacted Crystal and arranged for her to enroll in their board and train bootcamp for four weeks. She graduated with flying colors and went immediately from graduation to the airport where she flew across the country, out of a carrier, without a peep. The reason these folks are so effective is they train YOU, the human. They give you the tools to work with and engage your dog so the leadership of your pack is never in question. Because of our new tools and habits, our dogs trust us to protect and provide for them, checking in with us when they are uncertain about a situation rather than reacting right away. It's so worth it, we traveled from California to enlist their services (twice!). Literal miracle workers.

I cannot speak highly enough of our experience with B’More Zen’s board and train program! We sent our dog Cooper for general obedience, puppy manners, and support building his confidence as he’s a relatively skittish dog. Crystal and Tricia were patient and adaptable, training Cooper to an amazingly high level of performance while also addressing his temperament and needs. While his performance once home was astounding, I think what puts Crystal and B’More Zen above the rest is their life long commitment to your dog’s success and 1:1 coaching. When Cooper was adapting to our home again, he had some minor regressions and difficulty seeing me as a leader, not a playmate. Crystal assured me that we had the skills needed to address these concerns, gave quick advice via text, and came and did a home visit to help coach us through a few minor challenges. The shift from that point on was extraordinary and above all, I felt empowered and confident in my ability to be successful with my dog. She even gave us skills to use with our two young girls! We now have a dog we can take any where. We have the skills to keep him safe and to enjoy his company in places and ways we never could with our older dog. With two young kids, we knew that our ability to commit to training Cooper to the level we wanted would be limited, and we’re so grateful for the heavy lifting done by Crystal and Tricia during the board and train program. We do not have enough good things to say about Bmore Zen Dog Training. Bmore Zen trained our 8 year old pup 2 years ago when we brought our new son home. When our pup came home, he was a whole new dog. He walked in a heel, did not chase or jerk at squirrels, and stayed in place at home unless told he could get up. And more miraculously, he did not and has not ever since touched one of the kids’ toys. We give our full recommendation. We also continue to board Masn with Bmore Zen 5-6 times a year, whether a 10 day vacation or overnight trip. The team is so accommodating to our schedule for drop off and pick up. He gets real play - running in the yard, outdoor walks, and socialization - not just a quick walk or play inside. Plus, if you train with them, they keep the dog’s skills up to date. Love them!

Crystal and Tricia are both amazing! Our dog was struggling with excitement-based reactivity toward other dogs and we were at a standstill. We did the board and train program and the difference is night and day. Not only are they great dog trainers, but they are also great people, they take great care of the dogs, and the dogs’ well-being is a main priority for them. They also offer their continuous support for the entire life of your dog, which is amazing. I know if I have any issues I can reach out and I will always receive a response. After 3 years in a household with 3 rescue pit bulls, our boys started fighting. We were desperate to keep our family together. That’s when we chose to do the board and training program with Bmore Zen. The methods they used help equip us to be able to build confidence in our dogs. With that, our dogs were able to gain trust in one another again. The trainers loved and cared for our dogs as if they were their own. The support and guidance we received, while our dogs were in training, help to properly prepare us for bringing them back into the home. The result of this training is AMAZING!
