We can’t thank Christian enough for everything he’s done for us and Lola! Lola is an extremely energetic Doberman, but she’s also incredibly affectionate and a true Velcro dog. We adopted her from a rescue at almost 6.5 months old after she had spent her first several months without a stable home environment. We were struggling with some of her behaviors and initially tried in home lessons with another trainer. While we had a great experience, we realized Lola needed more consistent structure and training than we could provide while balancing our work schedules. That’s when we found Christian at Blunt K9, and we’re so glad we did! Before we even scheduled an evaluation, Christian and I exchanged several emails because I had a lot of questions. He was always thorough in his responses, and I never felt pressured or like he was trying to sell us on anything. Throughout Lola’s five weeks of training, Christian regularly sent pictures and videos of her progress and kept us updated. Our friends and family followed along on Instagram and have been so impressed with how far she’s come! The transition home was more difficult than we anticipated, so we ended up having our follow-up session much sooner than planned. That session made a huge difference, and things have been going so well ever since! Christian is still quick to respond whenever we have questions or want to share updates on Lola’s progress, which we really appreciate. The improvements we’ve seen in our everyday lives have been incredible. Lola no longer needs a leash in the house, and we don’t have to rely on her e-collar nearly as often indoors. Letting her outside used to be stressful because of her high prey drive and our neighbors’ dogs, but now we don’t even think twice about it! She also settles in her crate overnight (rather than taking over our bed, like she used to) and when we leave the house. Mealtimes are much easier, too, especially with our 2.5 year old eating at his little table. We still need to use a bark collar when she’s crated, and we know training is something we’ll need to continue working on, especially with outdoor distractions. But at just 10.5 months old, Lola has done a complete 180. Christian gave us the tools and guidance to continue working with her, and the difference in our day to day lives has been huge. We’re so grateful for everything he’s done for Lola and our family and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for help with their dog!

Christian trained our golden puppy this summer and we are thrilled with the results. Has has completely transformed her. Her basic obedience has dramatically improved. We were kept updated daily and loved watching the progress. He also gave clear guidance on how to maintain her training at home. We really appreciate all of the work and would definitely recommend working with Christian. We will definitely work with Christian again in the future for maintaining her training.

We sent our dog Stella to Chris for a board and train program, and the results have been amazing. Before the program, Stella struggled with crying and whining in her crate, which had even led to complaints from our neighbors. She also had a hard time on walks, barking and pulling whenever she saw other dogs. We just brought Stella home a few days ago, and while she's still adjusting to being back, the difference is night and day. She occasionally cries in her crate, but with a quick correction (thanks to the tools Chris gave us), she settles right down - something that would have been impossible before. On walks, she's able to walk right past other dogs without reacting, which has made our daily walks so much more enjoyable. Chris also gave us thorough guidance on next steps, like safely introducing Stella to other dogs in the family, which we're looking forward to trying. The training and support we received have made a huge difference for Stella and for our peace of mind, even as she settles back into home life. I want to share my experience with Blunt K9 because I’m honestly really happy I chose them. After doing extensive research, I decided to go with them but it was also more of a recommendation since I had a friend who trained their dog with them and had a great experience. They trained my dog, Spiky, a couple of months ago. I enrolled him in their 6-week board and train program, and even though I’ve been meaning to post this sooner, life with work and family got busy. Spiky is a schnauzer and struggled with reactivity issues, separation anxiety, and excessive barking, which I know can be common with the breed. I’ve actually worked with two different dog trainers before, but I was hesitant to try another one because it felt like they weren’t really getting to the root of the issues with my dog. Blunt K9 has been the only one that has truly given me real, noticeable results. After working with them, the change in Spiky has been incredible. He’s much calmer, more focused, and able to handle situations that used to trigger him and so far he’s been such a good boy. One thing I really appreciated is how much they genuinely care for the dogs. They treat your dog like it’s their own, not just another client, and that gave me so much peace of mind throughout the whole process. They also didn’t just train Spiky, they taught me how to properly handle and communicate with him so the progress actually lasts. It was 100% worth the money. I feel so much more confident now, and Spiky is in a much better place because of their work. I highly recommend Blunt K9 to anyone dealing with similar issues, it truly makes a difference. Christian has been a miracle worker with our 80 lb. pitt bull mix Louie. From the jump he provided an in person evaluation at our Brooklyn home, walking with him and closely observing his behavior. Louie was a rescue and at 5 years of age had never been trained. He had extreme reactivity and aggression toward any other dog he saw while out on leash. He would also bark excessively and growl at any new person entering our residence. Throughout Louie’s six week program, we got daily videos and texts demonstrating Christian’s training techniques and Louie’s progress, showing Louie becoming less insecure day by day and as a result more comfortable out on leash and able to ignore approaching dogs even when they were barking at him or showing signs of aggression! Lou learned commands we’d never had any success with such as staying down and in a specific place outdoors even in distracting environments. Christian also gave us humans a thorough tutorial on how to continue and build on his training now that’s back home with us. On our walk this morning he waited for me to head out the door first and immediately obeyed commands such as “leave it”, ignoring other nearby dogs, even when a big dog barked at him from a passing car, which used to put his hackles up for the whole rest of the walk. Christian has a wealth of expertise and cares for and about the dogs he trains and gives clear, concise instruction to build good habits between you and your dog. I highly recommend Blunt K9.
