This review is a little overdue, but we cannot say enough amazing things about Blue Star Dog Training and everything they did for our dog, Tater, who trained with them last November! From the very beginning, they treated Tater like family and truly cared about helping her become the best version of herself. The transformation has been incredible. Tater is more confident, well-behaved, and listens so much better, but what stood out the most was how patient, knowledgeable, and caring the trainers were throughout the entire process. They took the time to explain everything to us and made sure we felt supported every step of the way. You can tell they genuinely love what they do and care deeply about every dog they work with. We are beyond grateful for the time, effort, and dedication they put into helping Tater. If you are looking for a dog trainer you can trust, Blue Star Dog Training is absolutely the place to go. I have a GSD female 1 year old and took her to blue star and she has become a completely different dog. She is fearful reactive and was nervous with people and could not be around other dogs without being scared. But her being at blue stars board and train. She is doing soooo much better and our walks are great and her playing with other dogs is so much safer. Our lives have changed for the better because of the blue star team! One hundred percent recommend them!!

We had a great experience with everyone at Blue Star Dog Training! We recently rescued our 2 year old Field Golden Retriever Rogue. Even though she is a happy and loving dog, she didn't know her limits. She knew no boundaries. She would pull during walks, jump on my kids and make them fall. We struggled with crate training. She had figured out how to pull herself out of her collar during walks. We worried for her safety and our sanity! A friend of ours recommended Blue Star and we could not be happier with the training they provided!! We did their Board and Train Off Leash Program. Rogue did so well in their care! Mekenna was her primary trainer. She was very patient and sweet with not only myself and husband, but with our Rogue. She answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. Both Mekenna and Delaney are awesome trainers! Our walks with Rogue are so much better, she can be off leash at the park when we play fetch. She goes into her crate when asked. She doesn't just bolt out the door or jump on our kids. Rogue is still a happy, and loving dog, but with boundaries. We highly recommend Blue Star Dog Training!

We picked up a couple of strays after they found us, after the 4th of July. It was clear they were likely to reach 75 to 80 lbs, ultimately. Once we decided to welcome the girls into our family, my wife and I decided to send them for training. We wanted both basic commands and off-leash training, and we did our research on trainers. We decided to use Blue Star Dog Training. They met the girls and confidently told us that they could provide what we were looking for, over a 30-day training period. We visited the girls at the half way point and were relieved that we were both equally impressed with what we saw. The girls were listening and eager for the next command. They were focussed, attentive and confident. The off-leash training was completed after that visit and we couldnt be happier. We saw the depth of their successful training during a visit during the 3rd week, and again at their "graduation." We are so glad to have chosen Blue Star Dog Training. Both trainers, Makenna and Delaney clearly have years of experience in their industry, love what they do and both were committed and awesome. They also taught us how to use the commands properly!
