I am a first-time dog owner and was overwhelmed by the amount of information out there on how to form a strong relationship with your dog that benefits you both. Sarah and Andrew have done such an amazing job helping me set the foundation of training so that Lennie (my pup) and I know how to better communicate together and I can help with her development through the two week stay and train program. They are both incredibly responsive and knowledgeable - able to help with questions as they pop up but also having taken the time and care to work with Lennie in their home for 2 weeks. I would definitely recommend not only to first-time dog owners but to anyone who wants to learn more about how to communicate effectively with their dog. Overall, an amazing experience!

Sarah and Andrew were absolutely amazing to work with. They jumped in on short notice to help us with challenging puppy. Sarah devoted a lot of time to help us understand the difficulties we were having - she was nonjudgmental and was able to clearly communicate about the behavior issues in a way that we could understand even as brand new owners. In the time our puppy spent with Sarah her behavior changed dramatically. Ultimately we decided to rehome our puppy but only after reaching the deep understanding of why this puppy was not compatible with our family. This allowed us to finish the process feeling confident about this incredibly difficult decision. Throughout our time with Blue Dog Training, I learned so much about dogs from Sarah and witnessed the incredible depth of knowledge and passion that she has for dogs. Whenever we decide to try again to get a dog I will absolutely hire Blue Dog for the pet selection services to help ensure we make a better choice, and for any future training/behavior support. I would strongly recommend them for any training and behavior needs.

We decided to find a companion dog for our daughter, and it was important to us to find the right match for her and our family. From the first call with Sarah from Blue Dog Training, a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders. She has taken the time to get to know us and our daughter's needs, educated us about breeds and temperaments, and vetted potential matches. Sarah is highly knowledgeable, smart, detailed, and reliable, and has coached us through a complicated decision with ease. We are going to meet our first potential match this weekend. We greatly appreciate all the help from Sarah and Andrew so far, and look forward to working with them as we re-home and train our new family member.

We were having a difficult time with the behaviors of our 5 month old Golden Retriever and we knew we needed help. We found Blue Dog Training & Behavior, spoke at length with Sarah and Andrew and decided that our best option would be to have our pup "stay and train". The change has been amazing. However, the best part of our experience was all the WE learned from them. They sent us videos of their training sessions with our pup, provided great insights, and spent significant time teaching us how to work with our pup.
