Vanessa is the absolute best at what she does! We contacted Blackheart, because our Mal was extremely reactive with humans and dogs. He spent 4 weeks with her, and he came home a different dog. Before he refused a kennel; now he sleeps in one. Before, he had to be locked up in his room when we had guests, but this weekend was full of new guests. He did great even while slightly overwhelmed with so many people. She did so good with him that we are now sending our wild and crazy Chihuahua to her for behavior management and are making plans for a trip with him when he comes home.

I really can’t describe just how much I appreciate this company! I have tried 3 different trainers before yet none could work with my 4 year old reactive Belgian Malinois! I had the wonderful opportunity to do a board and train with Vanessa and she has been the absolute best! Before my dog Jaak couldn’t be around people or dogs due to being fear reactive. Well after 4 weeks with Vanessa not only can he be around others but we can even go into stores with others! The day he came home we went into a busy Tjmaxx and I almost cried because of how well he did. I can’t thank Vanessa and this company enough for giving me a dog I can enjoy life with and no longer have to fear him potentially hurting someone! We loved it so much we’re even sending our chihuahua to be trained! On top of all of this, the love Vanessa and Scott have for their job and dogs show. This is 100% worth the investment to see your dogs and yourself be happier! Also if you’re worried like I was beforehand about sending them away Vanessa keeps you updated with photos and videos of how they’re doing which really relieved my anxiety of him being away from me!

We recently found a young Husky mix in a parking lot. He was underweight and very hungry. We decided to keep him after the dog catcher said he knew the owners, and they basically turned him loose. He was also very sweet, but had no training. He didn't know how to sit on command or anything else. He was also terrified of being locked in a crate. Scott and his staff have been wonderful. Koda is now great on a leash , sleeps in a crate, and loves his training sessions. He has made tremendous progress and very close to being off leash. I wish we had Scott train our previous dogs. Here is a pic before training. He no longer jumps on furniture, but we find the picture humorous.

After adopting a 3 year old catahoula/pit mix I reached out to Blackheart k9. I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa. She really help me through the entire process and answered my million questions. My dog Draco was with her board and train for 4 weeks and has come back an absolute dream. It has been very easy to keep up with his training due to Vanessa’s in person instructions. I am truly grateful for all that Vanessa and Blackheart K9 has done for Draco and I. 100% recommend!!!
