Blackhawk K-9

We were desperate for help when our female Boerboel started to become aggressive with our male mastiff. She was also aggressive with any other dog. We were at a loss and did not think we could get our sweet dog back. We contacted Blackhawk K-9 and Eliza was able to come to the house for a consult that same day. We enrolled our dog in the 8-week behavior modification program. From the very beginning, Eliza was quick to give helpful advice regarding both of our dogs. She worked with us closely to ensure we knew how to continue the training at home. And she never forgot about including our other dog. She also managed multiple other health conditions that our dog suffers from, including skin infections. She is very high maintenance but Eliza never hesitated to take care of her. Eliza did not just fix the aggression toward our other dog but she was able to get her neutral with other dogs on walks. We never thought that was possible. She is now a very well balanced girl and our other dog feels comfortable around her again. She saved our dog’s life and we will be forever grateful.

Eliza is the GOAT. We previously used another "K9" trainer in the area who appears to specialize in law enforcement dogs. Complete waste of time and money. Our dog in one week with Eliza had more training than 5 weeks with the other place. Eliza is an amazing trainer and she communicates well with expectations for both yourself and your dog. We've had our dog back a little over two months now and I was worried he would regress but he just continues to excel. If you are looking for dog training and not sure who to go with, just stop and go with Eliza. You will not be disappointed.

She reminded us that dogs are always a work in progress, and instead of quick fixes, she gave us practical tools, confidence, and structure we can continue using well into Hoss’s adulthood. The training itself was fantastic: calm, effective, and tailored specifically to Hoss’s temperament and breed traits. We now feel equipped to guide him into becoming a well-mannered, confident, and balanced adult dog while honoring his protective instincts in a healthy way. If you’re looking for a trainer who understands powerful guardian breeds, communicates clearly, and genuinely sets you up for long-term success, Eliza is it. We are so grateful for her guidance and would recommend her without hesitation.

I have a lab and a beagle. My lab attacked the beagle. Eliza has worked with them both, and us of course, and we will be able to all live in peace. My dogs will now walk on a leash without pulling, they will go and stay on their place while I answer the door, have guests in, until I release them. They know sit, down, come, place, heal and quiet. We know what signs to look for that signal aggression, frustration so we can head off problems. She is a wonderful, dedicated trainer for both the dogs and the owners. The training, while not cheap, is worth every penny. If you want a dog that people will see and say”I wish my dog would mind like that”, this is the training you need.
