Birch Valley K9

We adopted our boy Ace at about 5 months old and I did a puppy class with him elsewhere and could tell there was a smart dog in there, but I needed help bringing that out of him. After doing some research and speaking with them, we decided to do a 4 week board & train at Birch Valley with Tommie & Allie. First off they are incredibly nice and great to deal with. After a couple of weeks we could already see an amazing change in him. Around three weeks we went to the facility and started some one on one training and during the last week Tommie & Ace came to our house for training. We are able to take walks with him by our side, recall and able to have him stay on his "place" bed, among basic obedience. He is still the same sweet goofy dog he always was but with manners. We have since taken him back for boarding and plan to do some more daycare in the future.

We got our 6 month shepherd Duke from the shelter. He was wildchild at best We sent Duke to Birch Valley for their 4 week board and train. Tommy and Allie transformed Duke into into the dog he was meant to be.they also helped us be the dog owners we needed to be to help Duke be his best We don't know where we would have been. Without them there is not doubt we found the right place and right people.

We considered this as a potential boarding location for our dog, since it’s close to our home. When we drove into their parking lot, an unfriendly man advised us that we were on private property. We told him we were interested in boarding, and he repeated the private property spiel. Not a good way to treat potential customers. The place looked a bit … run-down, anyway. Will stick with our current kennel!

Allie and Tommy did a wonderful job with our English setter, Rush, during his board and train session. Within a few weeks we saw an immediate and significant difference in his command recognition and recall. We frequently use them to board both of our dogs and never have had an issue with scheduling and always can be in communication within a short period of time. In the limited interactions we’ve had with both Allie and Tommy we can see they are great trainers, excellent dog watchers, and genuinely good people.

We sent our boy Goose here for the 4 week board and train and have zero regrets! Tommy and the whole team are so talented and educated. Not only will your dog learn a lot but you/your family will learn so much in the process. Totally worth the investment and time! We’re were stuck with our dog and unsure of next steps to best help him and his anxiety. Now, he is able to rest and is notably calmer at home. So grateful for this team, their experience and how they treat your dog like their own. Excited for him to return for daycare visits!
