I couldn’t be happier with the experience at Big Dog Ranch! From the moment I dropped off my dog, I knew they were in great hands. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and truly care about each dog’s progress. Not only did my pup receive excellent care, but they also learned valuable skills, improved their socialization, and came home with better manners than ever! The follow-up training and coaching have been a game changer, helping us reinforce what they learned and maintain their progress. It’s clear that Big Dog Ranch goes above and beyond to ensure both dogs and owners are set up for success. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality dog boarding and training!!

For the amount of money spent on training my dog with this company, I expected to see more noticeable results upon her return (3 weeks later) Instead, she seemed just a bit sleepier and had kennel cough from the place. While the staff and owner are wonderful and very helpful, I found myself needing additional guidance on how to handle situations that weren’t covered in their instructional videos. For example, I was unsure what to do if my dog didn't respond as shown in the videos, which left me feeling lost. They sent a trainer to my home for about 15 minutes, claiming that would resolve my issues. On another occasion, I drove two and a half hours to their facility, only to be told that the problem wasn't with the dog but rather with me, the owner. A year later, I still have an untrained dog and have spent all my savings. I wish this company were more hands-on with their clients. The videos they provide before bringing your dog home offer some guidance, but in reality, training is rarely that straightforward. All the dogs featured in those videos are already trained, which makes it seem easy. Given the thousands of dollars spent, I believe it’s reasonable to expect a more thorough debriefing upon returning the dog, including a half-day to a day session to teach us how to respond to various situations. Unfortunately, that level of support just isn’t provided. Overall, I am very disappointed with the program, as it did not work for my dog. Even though they have lifetime training for the dog as long as it’s alive. I have reached out multiple times to them with no resolution or even a half trained dog let alone a trained dog. Sad cause I really had hope in this.
