Beyond The Leash

I started private training my 7 week old Golden Retriever with Scott the day after I picked him up and can’t thank him enough for how far he has come now currently at 6 months old. When I now bring him out in public everyone is amazed by his self control at such a young age. The training was extremely interactive and taught me just as much as my puppy learned. Scott focuses a lot of attention to detail on obedience which is exactly what I’m looking for when he eventually gets into his adult years. There’s no doubt I will continue his training with Scott in the future.

When we adopted Zoey, she was so anxious that she wouldn't even go for walks. Working with Scott and Jess changed everything. Their guidance, patience, and willingness to answer what felt like a thousand questions gave us the confidence and tools we needed to help Zoey navigate the world. They never made us feel rushed and were always there with practical advice and encouragement. Thanks to their support, Zoey has transformed into the amazing dog she is today; we truly couldn't have done it without Scott and Jess!

We were at our wits end with our dog, Gunner when we decided to give Scott from Beyond the Leash a call. It seems that after five years with us, Gunner had developed anxiety and was exhibiting some very destructive behavior in our home. Scott was able to work with both Gunner and us to help train Gunner in some very easy to use training methods to help change Gunner’s behavior. It didn’t take long to see the results of these easy to use training methods. We now have a dog that is much more calm and is actually a joy to walk which is something that we thought we would never be saying. Our only regret is that we didn’t find Scott sooner! Update after 1 year Gunner’s training, this is from Bruce It’s been about a year since my wife, Sandra and I enlisted the services of Scott from Beyond the Leash for some much needed help with our dog, Gunner. When we started with Scott, I would say both my wife and I were skeptical of what to expect. I can honestly say without any reservations that Gunner is a much better dog and family member. Working with Scott has given us a “new” dog and much needed confidence in being a good dog owner. Can’t recommend anyone better than Scott and Jess for dog training. There are lots of dog trainers, and then there are those that are the very best. Sort of like there are a lot of skiers and then there are those that are in the Olympics. Scott and Jess are in the top tier. They understand dogs and get to the heart of issues quickly to resolve problems. We did a board and train with them and it was the best money we have ever spent. We continue to see the benefits even years later, and continue to use them as well. Our dogs love them, and even more they are well behaved and have a better life because of the training they received. Even more, they are just nice people. Their knowledge and expertise is extensive…..again, they are the best. I would never waste my time going elsewhere. And, I feel like I saved money because issues were addressed immediately and it wasn’t what I’ve seen elsewhere which is weekly classes over and over and not much accomplished.
