Shyenne did a phenomenal job working through a five week training course with our 8 month old goldendoodle, Lilah. Shyenne was able to work through several major issues with our puppy, particularly related to resource guarding and interacting with our elementary age daughter while also managing to teach Lilah basic skills. She also coordinated around our busy work schedule and kept true to the schedule promised at the start of our program. A huge perk was also that the training was performed in our home and Lilah therefore easily continued the skills learned during the training after it was over since the environment remained the same. Would highly recommend Shyenne!

I cannot recommend Beyond the Dog and particularly Shelby highly enough! My 4-year-old Catahoula, Riley, was extremely fearful—so much so that she refused to leave the apartment. On top of that, she displayed resource guarding behavior toward my cats, making everyday interactions stressful. Shelby’s patience, expertise, and tailored approach completely transformed Riley. Not only is she now confident enough to go outside, but she has also learned so much along the way. The biggest change? Riley is now unbothered by the cats, something I never thought possible! If you’re looking for a compassionate and skilled trainer who truly understands dogs and their needs, Beyond the Dog is the one to call. I’m beyond grateful for the progress Riley has made, and I know she wouldn’t be where she is today without Shelby’s help!

Beyond the Dog is amazing! I’ve used them twice in five years, and they’re the only ones I trust. Shyenne recently helped with my two Boston Terriers—Frank (6 months) and Beanz (5 years). She worked with them individually and together, and now I can walk them easily and take them anywhere with confidence. My friends are so impressed—especially with how well Frank behaves! I had a great experience with Beyond the Dog and specifically with my trainer, Shyenne! My rescue dog, Lacey, struggled with reactivity towards other dogs. Walking by any dogs was extremely stressful, as Lacey would fixate on them and lunge as we passed. Shyenne immediately saw what Lacey needed help with and got to work. Within the first week, Lacey was walking by my side and not pulling, which was a key first step. After the 5 week program, Lacey's reactivity has decreased so much to the point where we can pass dogs on the same sidewalk as we're walking, which I never thought would be possible!! Shyenne equipped me with all the tools I need to continue working with Lacey. She also helped with Lacey's indoor manners. She loves people but would get really excited and jump all over guests when they came over, especially on the couch. Now, Lacey is trained to immediately get off the couch the moment I say "leave it" and is so much calmer around guests which has been amazing! Beyond the Dog is extremely professional in their services, and Shyenne was especially organized each week. She always sent detailed notes on exactly what we needed to work on which was so helpful. Lacey and I can't thank Beyond the Dog enough! I would highly recommend to anyone who has a dog that struggles with reactivity as they have a science backed approach that provides real results!

I recently had my miniature dachshund attend the 3 week boarding training course and we worked with Shelby! My dog came home a different animal and I could not be happier. From obedience to potty training we covered it all and Shelby even returned to my house for 3 post boarding lessons. She was always in contact with me and it made me feel like he was in good hands.
