Shelby is the BEST!!! My dog Ollie has serious resource guarding issues (specifically with food) and reactivity toward other dogs in public places. I reached out to Beyond the Dog after an especially scary incident between Ollie and the other dog in my home. Shelby helped me understand the signs of resource guarding, how to mitigate the chance of altercations occurring, and also did training/obedience techniques with Ollie that has made him so much more manageable at home. Ollie is also a “velcro dog” with separation anxiety, so it’s been tough to find someone that Ollie trusts and is comfortable with. Shelby was so patient with Ollie and I was so impressed to see how quickly Ollie took to her and he actually looks forward to their sessions! Shelby has also helped address his reactivity in public places. Before, he would pull on his leash on walks and would bark at almost every dog we saw on the street. Ollie now walks right next to me on walks and doesn’t bark or pull when he sees other dogs. I can’t recommend beyond the dog and Shelby enough!

My dog Franklin just completed a training program with Shyenne as his trainer. Franklin started as a wild shelter dog with no manners. Franklin’s reactivity on walks and behavior indoors are much improved now. He often gets compliments on how well behaved he is now. I have good tools to keep working with him. Franklin also had lots of fun training and loved Shyenne. I recommend this program to those struggling with their dog’s behavior.

We are beyond grateful for the training we received with Shyenne and Beyond the Dog. When we first started, our dog Cashew was very reactive, and taking him on walks—especially around busy areas or other dogs—was stressful for all of us. Shyenne’s guidance completely changed that. Through her patient, consistent, and knowledgeable approach, Cashew has transformed. He’s confident and calm now, and we can take him anywhere—whether it’s dinner out, a child’s birthday party, or a big walk through a busy park. The difference is night and day, and we can actually enjoy all the things we used to avoid. Shyenne went above and beyond just “dog training”—she gave us the tools, confidence, and support to set Cashew up for success in the long run. We couldn’t be more thankful for the time, care, and expertise she put into working with our family. If you’re considering training, I can’t recommend Beyond the Dog and Shyenne enough. They’ve truly made a lasting impact on our lives with Cashew.

We used Beyond the Dog to train our two boys, Joey and Jenga, for general reactivity/barking and leash walking, and couldn’t be happier with how the program turned out. We worked with Shyenne - who made the whole program easy for us, was a fantastic communicator, and was so great to our boys. We’ve noticed a night and day shift in their behavior since starting and would recommend Shyenne and Beyond the Dog to anyone!
