Beyond the Dog

We were looking for training services after adopting our Great Dane, Hank, and wanting to introduce him to our cats without knowing where to start. Beyond the Dog was one of very few training options in the area that offered a program specializing in dog-cat socialization, and we cannot express enough how glad we are to have found them! Erin was an INCREDIBLE trainer. She's patient, knowledgable, kind, and breaks down the weekly training so it feels approachable. Her visits quickly became Hank's favorite part of the week and I could tell he actually enjoyed training and learning new skills. Erin was equally great with our cats, being flexible when our feral cat colony was less than cooperative and still finding ways to get the most out of each session. We're now able to enjoy couch time as a family, which we NEVER would have thought possible. We will miss our visits with Erin, but we feel so supported with the tools and knowledge she equipped us with and know her support is just a text away. We recommend Erin and Beyond the Dog to anyone looking for help getting their dog and cat to coexist, it's worth every penny!

We adopted a 1 year old, 70 pound rescue who was completely unmanageable and drug me across a yard to chase a squirrel. After one week working with Nikole at Beyond the Dog, he was already and angel on the leash! After a month of training he was an absolutely delightful dog…another month later we’ve maintained the training that Nikole taught us and he is a dog we can take anywhere, he’s the best dog now. Their positive reinforcement training is fantastic, and the tricks to discourage unwanted behavior like jumping totally worked. Thank you so much!!!

Erin is an amazing trainer! She became a family member who our daughter and dog loved when she came to “play” aka train the whole family!!! Our dog has always been skittish but sweet! When our little girl entered her raptor and speed crawling phase, he just hid in rooms. Now he loves hanging out with us, playing in the basement, and really doesn’t care about the zooming toys and child! All the techniques and training were adapted and created to what worked for our family! We miss seeing Erin every week but love that we can still reach out anytime if our pup needs a little support with the next phase of toddlerhood!

Our trainer, Tiffany, was great - very capable, professional and experienced. Our 6-month old puppy responded very well to her and learned all the commands that were the goals of the training program. Tiffany was also great in teaching us how to continue the training on our own to reinforce what our puppy was learning from her. She was happy to answer questions and offer training tips and suggestions. Our puppy is much better behaved both at home and in public. She behaves well even in crowded places like parks and shopping centers where there are lots of people, other dogs and cars going by. We’re very pleased with the training Beyond The Dog provided and would definitely recommend it.

Tiffany with Beyond the Dog is so amazing and it has been blessing to have her as my trainer! Before I discovered Beyond the Dog, I had gone through 3 dog trainers to try to solve my dog Milo’s severe reactivity issues but had no luck and I felt very defeated. After working with Tiffany, my hope had been restored! She is so patient, calm, and dedicated to helping my dog. I can happily say I am now able to take Milo on walks and have guests enter my home, stress free! It has been life changing for Milo & I.
