I cannot say enough wonderful things about Best Paw Forward Dog Training. From the moment I reached out, their team was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. The trainers were not only experts in dog behavior but also attentive and supportive throughout the entire process. Eden completed a four-week day training program, allowing her to go to school during the day and come home at night. The daily videos and conversations with her trainers made me feel included in her journey as I learned with her. Eden has made fantastic progress in addressing her fears and reactivity and truly loves everyone on the Best Paw Forward team. If you're looking for dedicated, skilled trainers who go above and beyond, I highly recommend Best Paw Forward. They've made an incredible impact, and I’m grateful beyond words!

I’ve been talking with Michael, the owner at Best Paw Forward, for months about training and boarding our puppy, and it’s been one frustrating experience after another. He often promises to return my calls—and then doesn’t. His prices have nearly doubled between conversations. And, when I’ve raised serious concerns about our pup and asked for clarity on expected training results. he chuckled instead of taking them seriously. Without giving any assurances of any kind as I was not asking for a guaranteed result knowing all dogs can respond differently. While we’ve never used his services, I can’t in good faith do business with someone who treats customers this way. Pro tip - if you decide to use their services, get on their email list so you receive the $1,000 discount they offer on their boarding and training packages. Another sign that their opaque pricing is odd indeed.

We’re truly sorry to hear that your recent interaction with us left you feeling frustrated—that’s never the impression we want to leave.<br><br>To clarify for the sake of transparency: Our team last spoke with you over 9 months ago when you were initially considering training for a different puppy. At that time, we discussed a program specifically tailored for young puppies. When you reached out again this past Friday with a new dog and different training needs, the recommended program and pricing understandably reflected the behavioral goals you described, which require a more advanced level of support.<br><br>Michael did his best to answer your questions thoroughly during your call, which lasted over 30 minutes, and sincerely regrets not being able to return your follow-up call by the end of that business day as something came up. He would have followed up again during business hours.<br><br>As for the seasonal promotion you mentioned—our holiday promotion with special programs that would save up to $1000 had a clearly stated expiration date of 12/18/24. While we understand it’s disappointing that we couldn’t extend that special offer several months later, we aim to be fair and consistent with all of our clients.<br><br>We take every concern seriously and always want pet owners to feel heard and supported. While we didn’t actually use best paw forward, I wanted to review 5 stars due to their customer service! Michael was very attentive on my phone discussion, and went above and beyond to listen to me explain my puppy. Their program sounds incredible and the only reason we didn’t choose them is my own proximity to the training site. I wish I lived closer because I really wanted to work with them!

The patience, knowledge and personalized attention Best Paw Forward applied to Chester's training was above and beyond what we expected. This isn't just training to alleviate the "symptoms" but to understand the root cause of certain behaviors to overcome them fully. As a 2-year-old mixed breed rescue dog, Chester had some unique training needs. We wanted to be sure the training program we chose wasn't just for puppies and BPF definitely has the knowledge for training through various situations. They listened to our concerns and needs, and worked with Chester to help him become a calmer, happier and less reactive/anxious dog. After 3 weeks of day-school training, Chester improved his manners, leash skills, listening skills and more. They taught us how to continue with training at home; the daily training videos and feedback reports were a tremendous help for consistency. The group follow-up classes on the weekends after the 3 weeks of initial training have been wonderful to improve our own skills and help Chester learn more in a structured setting. The small group size allows for personal attention while still getting the benefits of group class, like working through distractions and hearing answers to questions about other dogs or training issues. The trainers are continuing to learn themselves, explaining to us the latest science behind breed-specific training to help with Chester's specific traits and applying their years of experience to any new concern we might have. We signed Chester up for daycare as well, as soon as they started offering it. You can tell all the trainers love what they do and put heart into their time with the dogs. Chester is still rambunctious, but acts less frantic and anxious thanks to this training, and we have the knowledge now for how to help him going forward. *Update: 2 years after we started training with BPF and they're still amazing. Chester still comes for daycare and loves his time with Michael and the team each week.
