I've know Jamie and Michael for years. They're outstanding human beings and dog trainers. They have helped my wife and I personally with our rescue who had abandonment issues and would rip our house apart. She also would run away if off leash. With Best Paw Forward's help she no longer destroys the house while we are at work and she can be let off leash in our yard. We had to change ourselves during the process just as our new dog did. There's a lot of work and change you as a dog owner have to put in especially with rescue dogs. I read the only one star review and it's absurd to think that anyone at Best Paw Forward was rude in a consultation. I'd imagine that this individual was looking for someplace to drop their dog off and have them magically behave upon pickup. That's not how any of this works and I'd assume they didn't like that answer. Best Paw Forward is an amazing organization and will most certainly help you and your pup to the utmost of their ability.

I've worked with one of their trainers for over a year now. I must say, I'm incredibly impressed with their experience level and passion for the puppers. Even after I moved away, they continue to work with me through distance classes. I must say, of all characteristics that I appreciate, their honesty is what I appreciate most. They never hesitated to tell me when my expectations were unrealistic. I could understand how that could be seen as crass, but they have ALWAYS been respectful. I love my little four legged best-friend and would only trust him with these folks. Very down to earth and approachable. I highly suggest them to anyone looking for valuable training, both for your best friend, and yourself as an owner.

The woman on the phone for my consultation was extremely rude and unhelpful. She ended up hanging up on me after getting an attitude over my questions. I am very dissatisfied.

Hi Amanda, I'm apologize that the consultation did not go as either of us had hoped. We love working with dog owners and customer service is our top priority. During our phone call, I asked several questions regarding your dog's behaviors and what you wanted training help with so that, together, we could make a plan regarding improving life with your dog. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a clear picture of the help you were seeking beyond the goal of sending your dog to daycare when they cannot be in the same room as other dogs. After I said that the goal of going to daycare for a non-social dog was not one we could help with, you replied, "okay, thank you for your time" and hung up. I did not hang up on you. Again, I'm sorry that the experience did not go as either of us had hoped. We appreciate the feedback and wish you and your pup all the best.

I called Best Paw Forward because my Rottweiler pup, Cali, was extremely anxious around people. Michael was extremely understanding and supportive in the phone consultation. We scheduled our in-home training and he arrived happy and calm. At the first meeting, he took time to show Cali how to be calm and trusting and showed me how to foster that behavior in her. He gave guidance in subtle ways and both Cali and I learned how to work together to maintain happiness and peace. His training is solely based on positive reinforcement and a genuine love of animals. Michael's main goal is to help me understand how to help Cali become a well-behaved, well-mannered pup. The real test was last weekend when several people visited our home. With Michael's help, I learned to be calm snd supportive to Cali and she greeted guests calmly and was so well-behaved, we could barely believe it. I showed Michael pictures of calm Cali and he was also impressed. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this experience is. Michael shares his vast knowledge and his patience and is focused on your goals with your pup without the use of meducation, training collars or dominance. He teaches you how to be a team with your dog and have a wonderful future. I highly recommend Best Paw Forward. Jaimi, Michael's wife, is an integral part of their team. She is always kind and patient and helpful. I look forward to our meetings and the lifetime support we are entitled to with the program. The videos online are also informative and helpful. I learned how to help Cali be the best dog ever and I owe it all yo Michael, Jaimi and Best Paw Forward!
