Best By Farr Dog Training

Over the past decade +, I've taken multiple dogs to multiple trainers and have always had mediocre results. Recently, however, we took both of our dogs (with very different needs and temperaments) to Chris at Best by Farr, and have been blown away by the results. Both dogs are almost unrecognizable in their behavior and obedience! Not only did they learn crucial skills, but they seem happier and calmer as a result. Great for them, great for us. I couldn't recommend Best by Farr more emphatically.

If you want a happy dog, get him trained. And, if you want him trained by the best, then call Chris at Best by Farr Dog Training. My 11 month old puppy is small but feisty. He absolutely didn't listen to a thing I said, so I enrolled him in BBF's 3-week board and train. To say I was completely amazed at his transformation when I got him back. Chris sent videos throughout his training that kept me abreast of his progress. Just being able to see your dog's progress will keep you smiling. Not only did Chris do a fabulous job training my dog, he did an excellent job teaching me how to continue working with my dog once we were home. This is key to a successful training for your dog. I had 3 follow-up sessions where Chris worked with me, and I can only say, "Thank you, Chris."

Chris Farr was recommended to me by my parents who were using his services for their dog training. I have a female Doberman who definitely needed obedience training. She was often triggered by other dogs and people she wasn’t familiar with. After working with Chris for 6 weeks (1 hour each week), my dog’s obedience level, confidence, and comfort to new environments went up drastically. Chris is a practical guy with extensive knowledge on how dogs learn and how we as humans can properly communicate with them. He knows both sides and communicates that in a clear and concise way. He is truly an expert in this area. I’d highly recommend anyone to use him for any dog training you may need.

Words cannot express how thankful we are for the education we received in learning how to train our sweet dog Raymund! Our family chose private lessons so we could learn alongside our dog. Best decision we have ever made. The education is priceless. To learn foundational principles transformed our wild-man into a calmer more obedient dog. No matter which training package you choose just know as long as you, the dog owner, put in the necessary work on yourself, then your success will be limitless! Your dog, much like your toddler, copies what you do wrong just as much as what you do right. I highly recommend Best by Farr! They explain things in a way in which you can best understand and learn. I have had many dogs throughout my adult life-and each was brought to training classes at several various places, both in other states and here in the Raleigh area. I am saying this to let people know that this not my first time working with a dog trainer. I am totally amazed at the difference in what I have experienced previously and my experience with Best by Farr. Chris not only teaches the dog but the owner as well. He is by far the best, and I truly mean that. Initially we brought two dogs for a board and train. One a 6 month old stubborn self thinking breed and one an 18 month old impulsive pup that needed training despite going to weekly classes for more than a year somewhere else. The 6 month old was amazingly trained in just 2 weeks, he is the best boy ever and we have stayed on for weekly training sessions with him for a future as a working dog. The 18 month old came home knowing how to obey not only commands but what “no” means and now it is such a joy to have a well behaved dog. I believe that Chis can train a dog to do anything you can imagine you want a dog to do. But, more importantly Chris trains people! I know I am way more challenging to train than any dog he ever met and I am a slow learner too (my dog gets it better than me) First off- he has the patience of a saint and very unique way of explaining things in several different ways so I understand and remember the what and why of teaching our canine family. His individual classes are tailored to meet the handling abilities of owners and what behaviors, activities and tasks we want enjoy with our dog. I am so thankful I found him and I highly recommend Best by Farr no matter what your training needs are. You will see AMAZING RESULTS!!!
