Behavior Plus Dog Training

If you’re looking for dog training—look no further. I started working with Frank over 10 years ago with my first puppy. As first-time dog owners, we needed more training than our dog did, and Frank provided straightforward guidance that set us up for success. We did both one-on-one training and pack walks, and found each to be incredibly helpful. Fast forward to May 2025, when I adopted a rescue dog with far more behavioral challenges than I expected. (Who knew a 10 lb Chihuahua could send me into an emotional spiral?) Frank was my first call. He came to our home, provided hands-on support, answered questions whenever they arose, and even brought some much-needed humor to stressful moments. His guidance is the reason we were able to work through these challenges and keep our dog. Frank also encouraged us to try drop-off training, which is how we met Rob. Rob is knowledgeable, kind, and consistently supportive. He has gained our dog’s trust, helped socialize him, and provided valuable guidance along the way. We now use drop-off training on a weekly basis, and Rob is a huge part of the value of this service. When they say “no dog turned away,” they truly mean it. Their love for dogs is clear, and you feel their care from the very first interaction. We're incredibly grateful for them and our dog is too (even if he won't admit it).

I cannot say enough incredible things about Behavior Plus and Frank. We are now on our fifth dog working with him, and there is a reason we keep coming back, there is simply no one better. Frank has helped me with multiple pitbulls I’ve rescued from shelters, and what he does for rescue and shelter dogs comes from a place of pure heart. He truly goes above and beyond. As he’ll say himself, he loves dogs more than people and honestly, it shows in everything he does. What sets Frank apart is his ability to understand dogs on a deeper level. He doesn’t give up on them. I’ve personally seen him take a dog with a known kill history and transform that dog into a service animal. That level of dedication, patience, and skill is something you just don’t find everywhere. His entire team shares that same mindset. Their focus is always on what’s best for the dog. And what I didn’t expect when I first started working with Frank is how much he teaches you as the owner. It’s not just about training your dog, it’s about building your confidence, your awareness, and your relationship with your dog. I am beyond grateful for Frank and his team. They have made a lasting impact on every dog I’ve brought to them and on me as an owner. I wouldn’t trust anyone else. Our boy Pippin just completed all his beginner training classes with Behavior Plus Dog Training. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience. This is a great hands-on group training class that gave us so much knowledge and tools on how to help our dog be better behaved, and help us understand more about why our dogs behave the way they do. Each class built on the previous sessions training, and we could see the evolution of our dog becoming more aware of our commands and learning to respond properly. The instructors were always happy to answer any questions we had, whether in class or via email or phone. We will continue our training at home and look to move onto the agility classes next. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants a better behaved pet.

The level of care and attention that my dog receives here from Rob, Michelle and Frank deserves more than 5 stars! Possum is the second dog I have had Behavior Plus train, he was a stray, a puppy with an unknown past who I took on after my 11 year old Bella passed away. Possum was not only reactive he was biting me constantly and I was unable to walk him as he froze in fear when I tried. Combine this with puppy energy and I was ready to give up and return him to the shelter. Thanks to this team he has overcome his fear of walking, and I have learned how to correct all his puppy like behaviors properly without losing my mind and patience. Behavior Plus is where I will continue to bring ANY dog I rescue. I cannot say enough about how AMAZING they are!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
