Beckman's Dog Training

Joel has been my favorite trainer so far. There are a lot of trainers who preach and utilize methods that are cool in theory but just not realistic for the regular every day person to maintain. Joel's methods are realistic and he doesn't do or teach anything that a normal person can't do themselves which was ideal for me and my dogs. He teaches you how to be the leader for your dog and how setting boundaries and standards for your dog will ultimately get them on the right track. Everyone is so afraid of using corrections or raising their voice and "being mean" to their dog. But in reality dogs don't hold grudges and you won't traumatize your dogs by telling them no or giving them corrections for negative behavior especially when also rewarding and praising positive behavior. Dogs are smart and they learn "okay, when I do this he doesn't like it, but when I do this, he pays me!" I highly recommend Beckman's Dog Training, Joel is the most realistic, straightforward, and extremely experienced trainer I've seen. The combination of verbal/leash corrections, pack corrections, and desensitization/socialization and positive bahavior reinforcement you'll receive from visiting their facility is the most effective training my dogs have ever received, not to mention it's all packed into one hour very efficiently. On top of that, you as the owner will also receive training and tips during the sessions; he will make sure you do what you need to do and correctly, as well as let you know when something you're doing is a bad habit and needs to stop. Worth every penny and will be back!
