Bear Down Dog Training LLC

I have taken intermediate & advanced obedience, as well as the Canine Good Citizen class with my 4 yr old rescue hound mix Copper, and we love it here! Bear Down has helped my nervous rescue become so much more focused, obedient and confident around other dogs, people and in new situations. Sara has such a talent for understanding each dog & what they need. The small class sizes allow each session to be personalized to what your pup needs to focus on. She is very creative in thinking of ways to get each dog to perform their best, she does not use a one-size fits all approach. Sara truly gets to know each dog & handler in the class & tailors the training to your goals and needs. Bear Down has helped us succeed in our sport classes & in real life scenarios. Every single class is different, fun and truly has made a world of a difference in Copper's behavior. He gets so excited to come here. I can't recommend Sara & Bear Down enough!!

Dan with Bear Down was excellent! His training led to some major breakthroughs for me and my high-energy puppy. He was incredibly patient and in tune with my dog, which is what led to my puppy's success in obedience training. He is the best trainer with whom I have worked and he really cares about making the classes a great experience for everyone involved. Needless to say, I will be signing up for more classes at Bear Down with Dan Bartley and I recommend anyone looking for successful and enjoyable training to do the same!

We absolutely love Bear Down Dog Training. We worked with Sara, who is one of those unique trainers who is equally adept at humans and dogs. She took the time to help us understand our dogs behavior and the underlying factors that may be causing it. One of our dog has a lot of fear, and she created a whole plan that helped us build his confidence in a way that was fun for him and sustainable for us. She seemingly never runs out of ideas for new things to try to get to the root of an issue and solve it. BDDT is excellent at dog-to-dog integration, problem resolution, and successful group play, and is responsible for many years of peace in our multi-dog household. I trust my dogs opinions of people, and they both absolutely adored her from the moment they met her, so I know she’s the real deal. I don’t know where we’d be without their help!
