Barking Bonds Dog Training and Boarding

Olivia is wonderful! She was recommended by a friend so I reached out needing dog care unexpectedly. Olivia responded right away and scheduled an “orientation” within days for my dog to feel comfortable with her and the house. I was so hesitant to board my 9-year ok’d brittany spaniel because I’d never done so, but Olivia’s place is like leaving her with a close friend. Her genuine love for dogs came through in her interactions and boarding set up. Plenty of area to play, dogs allowed in house, and sleeping routine based on what they’re used to. Price is a flat rate, not based on amount of time spent playing or whatever. She sent just the right amount of texts, photos, and videos for me to see Piper was in good hands and doing well. Thank you, Olivia. I would definitely bring Piper again!!

10/10 Please check out Olivia. She has been incredible in improving our lives and our dog's life! We checked out several other dog trainers in Fort Collins and ultimately decided to go with Olivia because she was available, quick to respond and told us she trains dogs with a tailored service. Not just a class to attend 1x/week. After our first training session we came up with a game plan for our 1 year 2 month old black lab named Hopper who was jumping our 3-4ft fence to chase rabbits, say hi to other dogs and see other people. Olivia got us on a training program to make the backyard more entertaining so he doesn't jump the fence. Before Olivia, we moved to a new home and we had regressed to going outside with our dog on a leash every time (because of the low fence), which was an absolute headache for us and our pup. After our 2 session with Olivia, we already saw improvements with our pup. Hopper has not jumped the fence since we started training with Olivia and Olivia has gone above and beyond to bring training tools, problem solve and tailor her training to help us with Hopper. Now that we have jumping the fence under control. After 6 sessions, Hopper can be in the backyard unattended to watch the dogs walk by and the people walk by. He still has some close calls where he might put a paw or 2 on the fence but has not jumped over since we started training. It is such a weight off our shoulders. Now we are adding in new stressors to grow his self discipline and trigger response for rabbits on walks! After 1 session of working on walking with Hopper we are seeing some improvements with Hopper watching us on our walk rather than looking for rabbits. Olivia is very good at helping my wife and I be better dog trainers for Hopper. We are so glad we found Olivia and hope others will use her too. I could tell you more stories even in the 6 sessions we have had and we have almost 10 more sessions with her!

Olivia and Barking Bonds Dog Training is hands down THE best dog service in the state of Colorado. There is literally no one else I would trust with this process! Olivia is incredibly thoughtful, personable, and intentional with every step of training. She took the time to get to know me, my pup, and our goals. When we started this journey my Hermione was a very crazy and wild pup! We have made great strides with Hermione and with myself as a dog mom. One of my biggest goals was to be able to take Hermione into public spaces and on hikes- every step of the training process with Olivia has helped us work towards this goal. The best part is that we didn't just do training inside our home- we adventured to parks, stores, and around the neighborhood to get real world experience. And- not to mention Olivia is a genuine, kind, fun person to be around! Every training was fun, AND informative. Hermione and I 10/10 recommend her!

Absolutely blown away by the knowledge, grace, and heart Olivia brought into our home. Our two dogs (Seamus- OES) and (Hermoine- GS Mix) were having trouble listening to us, desensitizing, and calming down. After working with Olivia, our dogs have transformed. It takes work from you outside of training, but as a Licensed Dog Behaviorist, Olivia can give you the tools you need to communicate with your dog on a whole new level. She is also wonderful at working with dogs who have experienced trauma or have sensitive triggers. We were blessed to discover Olivia and will continue to work with her going forward for our two furry friends. On a personal note-- thank you so much Olivia!
