Barking Birch Dog Socialization, Training, and Outings

our dog, Tyson was a rescue that was about 11 mos. old when we got him. He was clearly a pup who needed to release a lot of energy, so we checked around to get a doggie daycare which had good reviews..When Tyson was 1 1/2 yrs. old he started going to Barking Birch two times a week. it was there that we found out how knowledgable and professional Leann & Stewart were. Tyson had issues with anyone touching his collar, and we had him in a halter. Leann has patiently worked with him, respecting his fear, but working to overcome it. I am happy to say, he now can have a leash on his collar, and will allow us to lead him by the collar. When he started to have some resource guarding issues, I spoke to Leann and she worked with him regarding that while they were on their play group walk. Also gave us some suggestions to deal with it at home. And worked with us to allow him to be a member of our "pack" and not the leader, which lessens his anxiety.. I'm happy to say his resource guarding is much declined. Tyson loves his playgroup, he starts to whine and bark happily as we drive up to Barkiing Birch Farm. I would heartily recommend Leann Warner to anyone who has a dog with some issues to correct, and anyone looking for a doggie daycare where they can be a part of a pack group.

I have taken 2 generations of dogs to Leeann Warner, and not only was I happy, they were overjoyed! She and Stuart are not just highly professional and careful, it's as if each dog gets his/her individualized walk/play plan. The atmosphere is playful and organized all at the same time. I have gone on training walks with Leeann and have learned so much about dogs from her. When needed, she takes extra special care focusing on a dog's individual personality and needs. Recommend isn't enough of a word here, I wish on every dog in the world the care that Leeann and Stuart lavish.
