We like to joke that there’s “pre-Pat” and “post-Pat” when it comes to our dog. Before his 3-week board-and-train program, walks were stressful—he pulled constantly, and recall felt impossible. After training with Pat, the transformation has been incredible. He no longer pulls, his recall is solid, and I can now take him confidently to more places, even off-leash. What really stood out is Pat’s kind, patient, and caring approach. He doesn’t use harsh discipline—instead, he focuses on the natural logic of how dogs learn and behave. Training sessions in public settings made the transition was much easier. Best of all, my dog hasn’t lost his goofy, happy personality—he’s just more confident, better behaved, and easier to enjoy life with. This has been truly life-changing for both my dog and me. I can give him more freedom, we both have more fun, and our bond is stronger than ever. The program is absolutely worth the investment, and I can’t recommend Pat highly enough.

I’ve had the best training sessions with Pat! He’s responsive, friendly, informative, and a great teacher for BOTH dogs and humans! I’ve struggled communicating w/ my 4 y.o. deaf Aussie, and Pat has taught me so many creative and effective ways to train her using positive reinforcement. I first started off with a 10-day board-and-train for my Aussie (while on vacation), and I was beyond impressed with the progress! Before, she would constantly and stubbornly pull on the leash, making it hard for both of us to enjoy walks. Afterwards, she became so much more attentive and has learned to walk w/ loose leash. Now, we enrolled in private training sessions to specifically target certain behaviors. And we def enjoy learning something new with each session. 10/10 would recommend to everybody! 😄

I've used Pat as a dog trainer for multiple dogs and have known him for well over a decade. He is the perfect mix of knowledge, professionalism, and humility. His training methods are effective as he takes the time to train the owner to train the dog, so his lessons last for a lifetime. In over ten years of interactions he has had a solid answer for every question I or my wife have ever had and he has drastically helped us in every situation. I would recommend him to anyone for dog training no matter the breed or the environment. I can't say enough good things about him and I both trust and highly value his opinion.

After our 7 month old great Pyrenees mix puppy was nearly run over by a car -as he slipped his collar and ignored us to chase a cat- we decided we had to step up the training intensity. Since the e-collar was new to us we did a train and board 2 week session with Pat. It was the best investment we could have made, he trained our dog to understand the collar communications and he passed this training onto my husband who then had enough confidence to not only continue but to be rewarded with daily success. Pat got everyone on the same page and made dog and dog owner feel good about it. Evidence of this is that the dog does not run away from his e collar, rather he runs to it because he likes to be trained. This absolutely would not have been possible without Pat. We will now practice practice practice and then return to Pat for the next level.
