Bandana Dog Training

Highly recommend! We learned about Bandana Dog Training via a strong recommendation from a friend who sent their dog through the Stay and Train program. Lisa helped schedule the training to fit with our family’s summer plans. Joe has now trained both of our dogs through his Stay and Train program and it is amazing what a difference it has made for our family. During the training, Joe sent frequent updates and photos and was clear that our pups were safe, cared for, and happy. (In fact, they are more excited to see Joe than anyone else!). The training definitely improved our dogs’ behaviors and, more importantly, our communication with our dogs. We have continued to grow with his refresher classes and are able to confidently take our pups out and about and on road trips, which was one of our main goals. I wholeheartedly recommend Bandana Dog Training.

We have a very severely anxiety ridden dog named Colt. We are talking panic attacks, aggression and just incredibly fearful of anything and everyone. Our vet recommended to put Colt into some training classes to help guide him and structure him. I reviewed multiple training facilities but ultimately went with Bandana. We started with private classes and ended up moving forward with a 21 day board and stay. During the private classes, Joe understood the severity of anxiety with Colt and was very patient with us and Colt. We learned so much from the private classes that we were able to implement in everyday life but knew with the severity of Colts anxiety, we needed to move forward with a board and stay. With the severity of Colts anxiety, during the board and stay, Renee let Colt decompress for a few days and started training once he became more comfortable. Renee ended up keeping Colt for a few days extra due to the anxiety, but provided videos and updates on a daily. We were shocked at the amount of success that she had with Colt. Colt learned how to walk on a leash, learned how to heel, how to sit outside (which he would never do before), and overall was MUCH more comfortable being outside. This was progress that we would have NEVER achieved without the help of Joe and Renee. They truly care for the dogs well-being, and curate/adjust the training to their pace so they ultimately understand. I am now able to walk Colt down the street without the intense panic, without him pulling me, and understanding his cues. Joe, Lisa and Renee take their business very seriously and want to be sure you understand as well. We have learned so much from both of them and so has Colt. This was NOT an easy case, and seeing the progress of Colt has been amazing and incredibly enjoyable. They are not miracle workers and you do need to understand that training is not one and done, but an ongoing practice. With the help of Joe and Renee, we now understand important cues and have learned so much about Colt. Thank you so much for the ongoing support with Colt!
