Bandana Dog Training

I met Joe and the Bandana Dog team at a time when I was overwhelmed and unsure of what to do next for my dog’s fear aggression. They wholeheartedly invested themselves in seeing the success for both the dog and myself as his owner. One thing I love is that they don’t use a cookie cutter system, rather they adapt based on the needs and quirks of each dog/owner. I have been fortunate to have had them in my life for almost 4 years now and credit them entirely with helping to improve my dog’s behavior and quality of life. It’s important to know that as with any trainer, ultimately the success of your pet relies on your follow through after the training sessions. While they truly worked miracles in the time that they had my dog, consistency and follow through on my part has been KEY. They went above and beyond to set my dog and I up for success, and ultimately it is my responsibility to hold my dog to the standard they set while in training. I highly recommend this team and can confidently say they are well worth the investment.

We specifically asked for help to address our great dane’s chewing and after spending $2k to address that problem, our dog was left unsupervised for a brief 4 hour est period and chewed a wood trim Flooring piece that had been replaced following a chewing Incident that occurred prior to training. Another $200 wasted. When asked to address the problem since it appeared nothing was done to ward her off from chewing, we asked Bandana to address it and/or consider a partial refund. The owner was more caught up in saying how qualified he is (so much more qualified than one of his other trainers who was successful and worked with our other dog during training) and in blaming us for leaving her unsupervised... rather than offering to work on it more or even share his tips on what he DID do to correct her from chewing or consider a partial refund. Don’t use Bandana unless you want to waste your $$. We did not need help with sit or down and “place” wasn’t our issue.... it was chewing! I understand there will be mistakes but Bandana clearly did nothing towards the bad habit we needed addressed. Hire them if you feel like blowing 2k and don’t expect customized training. You’ll get ego instead!

I highly recommend Bandana Dog Training. Joe has been working with Hank for a few short months. He has gone from a fearful, anxiety-ridden pound puppy to a confident, calm, dog-about-town. When we started our training, Hank could NOT walk on a leash. He would drag me down the street. 😂 He would pace nervously around the house and he was scared of everything. Now, he heels next to me when we walk, and he goes everywhere with me! He’s calm and relaxed at home. He doesn’t react (much) to new things or sounds. The training has made an incredible difference and Hank seems so very happy and confident. And Joe has trained me to work with Hank to continuously improve. I’ll always be grateful to Joe and Bandana! ❤️🐶

Joe trained our 4 year old dog and the results were impressive. So impressive, when we got a second puppy there was no other trainer I would consider, even though we had relocated to Colorado. We loaded up our girls and made a 2,000 mile round trip so that our second dog received the same quality training and we were not disappointed. If I get a third dog (my husband would kill me) we would be heading to Tucson again.

I called Joe at a desperate time. One of my dogs had just fatally injured one of her mini packmates with a hard correction. Prior to this event I had taken her through an 11 week intensive training program to help correct behavior. I needed get better control of my pets. It took only a few short sessions for me to learn how to tame my high strung rescues. I have had several meetings from time to time over the last 2 years to address issues. Whenever I have a question Joe has returned my text or phone call to give me feedback. I have had occasional evaluations from time to time. He has always been there for us and I appreciate his knowledge and experience. I can’t thank Joe enough!
