Balancing Paws Dog Training

Balancing Paws came highly recommended from a neighbor about a year ago. The location is almost an hour from my house so I didn’t look into it. HUGE REGRET! We had our first 1:1 training here and LOVED IT! The drive was worth it! After almost 2 years of working with trainers, Balancing Paws has a new approach and we saw a little improvement in the first session! I am excited to learn more and help my doggo be his best version. The property from the street doesn’t look big but you walk through the gates and it’s a doggy heaven in the backyard! Extremely clean and organized with lots of different equipment for the dogs. I would highly recommend!

I can’t say enough great things about this place! My pooch, Ronin, was very reactive to all dogs after being attacked. As the owner, it was traumatic for both of us and controlling a 120lb American Bulldog is not easy. We found Yoni through a friend back in January and it’s been a game changer. I’m overcoming my trauma and know the cues to watch for and how to handle myself, Ronin, and the situation. We did board and train and go to class regularly - these classes are great! Working with Yoni and team these lady ~6 months has allowed us to move into to a house with two other dogs a couple weeks ago (something that wouldn’t been possible without Balancing Paws). We are also taking our other dogs to Yoni too! HIGHLY recommend Balancing Paws - take a look at Ronin last night (the big white dog).

Yoni and team have been lifesavers ! I honestly can't remember where we heard of them, probably a Facebook group, but so glad we found them. We have a high energy, 3 1/2 year old, mixed breed dog and we had experienced some resource guarding with toys and aggressive episodes. While the 1:1 training lessons proved beneficial as we were armed with tools and techniques, it was clear we needed to up the ante and registered our pup for 2 week board and train sessions. It was extremely difficult to be without the dog and even more so come for weekly visits and have to leave him, but Yoni walked us through the process every step of the way. This training is not what I initially expected and quite honestly took some time to get my buy in, but it is certainly working ! Instead of focusing on the small % of aggressive episodes he starts with the basics, properly communicating with your dog, setting boundaries and setting up for success. To be clear , the work is NOT done after intensive training camp, instead the journey is just beginning. My husband and I are armed with lessons and trainings to continue at home- this is just as much about the owner (if not more) than the dog. Unlimited group classes are a huge perk after training camp is completed. We continue to learn and grow and bond with our dog. We are thrilled to be able to feel safe and comfortable with our pet in our home and have a huge sense of relief when guests come over now that we know how to set up to be successful. I'm confident Yoni, Jenna and John will be able to support you and your pup through any challenges. We are so thankful for their guidance and support !

I highly recommend Balancing Paws Dog Training! We drive 30 minutes one way just to go but it is worth it. We have a 6 year old Australian Shepard that we couldn't take on walks without him pulling and howling the whole time and who also has some dog aggression issues. We didn't start with Yoni till our dog was 5 and we have still seen huge improvements! Since seeing Yoni we can successfully walk him without a gentle leader and he listens and isn't so anxious. He doesn't pull or howl the whole time. We are still going to group classes to help him be around other dogs and we have seen a huge improvement. I highly recommend the group classes. Yoni is constantly working to improve his business, his dog training facility and he truly cares about his clients and the relationship they have with their dogs.
