Backwoods Retriever Training

Garrett came recommended to us when we were just about at our wits end with our almost one year old rescue dog. From the first time I reached out to ask him about the process for obedience training, it was clear he was professional and experienced. He was great at explaining the process, keeping us updated, and answering me quickly anytime I checked in or had a question. He worked with us extensively when we picked up our dog so that we were comfortable with handling him and working to keep up the training. It’s clear he loves the dogs he works with and is passionate about what he does. We are so thankful!

I have a Sheppard breed rescue that I got on St. Patrick’s day. She a beautiful dog and very sweet. Although, I was dealing with some bad behavior issues and I was starting to think I wouldn’t be able to keep her. A friend of mine suggested I call Backwoods Retriever Training. Garrett took in Klover for a four week behavioral training program. Towards the end of the program he spent three days training me as well. He took great care to address the issues we were having. I just got my pup back yesterday and she is a delight to be around. I am able to go on peaceful walks with her, and she respects my authority. With this new improved version of my dog I am able to to enjoy her company and not be concerned about her behavior. I could not be happier with her training and her trainer.
