Back of House K9

Our pit bull cross, rescue dog, Susie got along with our other 2 dogs, but displayed fear/aggression toward any other dog she saw. After we lost both of our senior dogs, we questioned whether or not Susie would have to remain the only dog in our household, or if we could adopt another dog. She had improved immensely over the five years we have had her, but we weren't sure if she would accept another dog in her space. I contacted Back of House K9 and asked them to do an assessment. They spent a full hour with Susie, introduced her to 5 other dogs, and she showed them ALL of her issues: Dominance, Anxiety, Fear/Aggression to other dogs, and Resource-Guarding behaviors for her people and her toys!! One of the dogs she was introduced to was "Hank", the shelter dog we were interested in adopting (they had brought him out to their facility, knowing that Susie was coming-they went above and beyond, in our opinion)! We brought Susie back the next week, for 48 hours of behavior modification training. When we picked her up, we also picked up Hank. They taught us so much about how to respond/intervene to Susie's behaviors. We are a month down the road, and absolutely delighted with the results we received from Back of House K9!!

We have used Back of House K9 training and boarding for two years now, we have had 4 of our 8 dogs go through some kind of training, we called when our Aussie doodle was 6 months old , she was to say the least very hyper and had no sence of what manners were. After a four week board and train we have the best dog ever! And with every one of our dogs that have gone through their program we just become bigger fans of Shawn and Allies . When we need to leave town we have them watch our dogs. Not only do they get treated like one of their own our dogs love them. I highly recommend Back if house K9 training ! You will not be disappointed!!!

We recently relocated to Washington State and needed to quickly find a quality trainer for our high strung anxious bird dog. We located the BackofHouse family and put her in their hands for some specialized behavior training and kenneling during a trip. Our pet is not social and so we’ve been working on realizing the dream of having our pet experience other dogs without losing control. During her stay, she was able to reach a new high point of being in the same room with their dogs without having a crisis moment. We are very happy with the service and the progress our senior dog has made. As I sit here writing up this review, my dog is relaxed and able to sit in the same room with another family member’s beloved retriever.
