Avid K9 Training

Hi everyone. My name is Gabby and I’m a first time dog owner. I have a 9 month old Siberian Husky and everyone warned me about how stubborn and energetic huskies are. I got Leia at two months but due to the pandemic, we started training at 5 months. I contacted him right away because I had no idea how to train a dog. She’s been training with Marth for 3 months. Since day one, I knew I made a great investment. The best part is that he doesn’t do the work for you, he teaches you how to do it first and observes you while you train your dog during your sessions. He’s there to support you even when you’re not training. He also gives you tips and advice with anything regarding your dog. He’s a call/text away. from The key is to be consistent and practice what he teaches you and your dog every day. Leia gets so happy to see Marth every Saturday. He takes the time to build a relationship with your dog. You can tell he really loves what he does. I highly recommend him so please don’t hesitate to reach out to him. You won’t regret it. I recently signed up for puppy kinder for my puppy, he is an Akita mix with German shepherd so you can imagine what I would be dealing with in the future. Puppy kinder was an easy and fast way to ensure my puppy would learn basic commands. It was also nice to see daily updates and receive weekly report cards on what my Junior learned, what to work on at home, and what his behavior was like during the week. I didn’t have to worry about leaving my puppy with Logan. They would also go on little field trips to the beach. They also had “Pool Day Fridays” where they would bring out a dog kiddy pool and have the puppies interact with the water and have them try to swim. It was nice to see my puppy was having fun while I was at work. You could see how much Junior loves Logan and her dog, Kobe. Logan was quick to text back and very professional. Seeing Logan and her dog Kobe had me super impressed and convinced me on training junior. Towards the end of the month Logan was nice enough to give Junior two brand new toys and a bag of treats! 11/10 would recommend bringing your puppy here for kinder.

Before I begin my review, I’d like to share a little bit about my pup. Milo is a DEAF 10 month old Pitbull mixed puppy. He is a loving sweet boy but because of his special needs it was 1) getting hard to communicate with him and 2) because I wasn’t able to communicate with him he was getting away some typical puppy misbehavior. This is where Marth comes in. We’ve only met with Marth for two sessions and one social class and we already see a HUGE improvement. Marth has introduced us proper sign language signs that we now use to communicate with Milo. He educated us on how to properly hold a leash and how to control it, which is important when walking a dog. Milo has learned and is continuing to work on skills to keep him from from running towards strangers (dogs included) for attention and play time. Most importantly, Marth has given my boy friend and I hope and reassurance that we are capable of raising a well behaved and loving deaf pup. If you’re looking for the real deal-look no further! Marth is your guy! Milo loves him and we are just over the moon with the improvements we have seen so far. We can’t wait to see how much better behaved our Milo will get. Thank you, Marth!

If you've ever owned a Westie, as we do, you know these are headstrong little dogs. I figured if Marth tried to train her, he would quickly be posting his new job listing, "Former Dog Trainer Seeks Employment Elsewhere." But in fact, within a half hour, not only had Marth got my Westie under control, but he had taught my wife and I how to do the same thing. We hired Marth for private lessons and also joined in for the Saturday morning sessions with other dogs in training. My Westie recently graduated with flying colors. Taking her for a walk now is an absolute pleasure, not the fight-and-drag struggle it was before. Perhaps best of all, this training taught her self control, which is reflected in all areas of her life. She's simply a calmer, more self-possessed pet now, and an even greater pleasure to live with. Thank you Marth - you've changed our lives!

If I can give this guy 10 stars I will in a heartbeat. You can really see his passion and love for animals. Training your dog doesn't necessarily mean you have to be tough with them . He educates the owner to train and respect and love their dogs at the same time. I'm glad I found him and I trust him with my babies. Would recommend him definitely with my friends and family and I can't say enough good things about this guy.
