The negative reviews on this business are from people who don’t seem to have experience with professional retriever training and national level competition dogs. I have known these folks for well over a decade (if not two) and they are have the dogs in a professional grade working dog truck. The kennels the dogs are in are appropriately sized for the SAFE transport of many dogs over long distances. These kennels are properly ventilated, the dogs always have water in their own kennel, and it is ventilated with fans that other commenters were unable to see. As for the comments about having to wait for this handler at a test… this happens all the time. The master stake takes precedence over the senior stake which takes precedence over the junior stake. Many pros move between all three stakes and they do so at the direction of the event staff - so they were only following the direction of the event staff at the event to which they are being criticized for. Furthermore, the owner of this business is a veterinarian and cares after the animals health. It’s unfortunate that people who haven’t interacted directly with this business nor have extensive knowledge of this sport and how advanced level testing and training works, nor knowledge of the complexities event staff deal with while running events with sometimes hundreds of dogs. While I can understand their initial emotional reactions, it would have been more mature to introduce themselves to the owner of this business and approach the situation with curiosity instead of trashing this business without having a LOT of necessary information to inform their concerns. I’m giving this business a 5 star rating to offset uninformed negative reviews. I personally know these folks and the uninformed reviews do not reflect accurately on this business.

I did not have direct experience with them, I encountered them at a hunt test. The truck flew in well over the strictly enforced speed limit, 30 min late for the test while we all waited. The truck was fully loaded with barking, whining dogs. She jumped out, was harsh with her dog, ran it, and with no kindness or affection loaded up and left. The dogs seemed crammed into a hot box, unhappy, and very obviously a tool for a sport and not animals to this person. I have never bothered to look up trainers or especially leave a review but I was so taken aback by the insensitivity I saw.
