Julie, our dog trainer, is so experienced and knowledgeable. She has been marvelously patient with both us and our Great Pyrenees, Charleigh. We have thoroughly enjoyed the lessons and Charleigh has too; she seems to have got “the message” and I love the new level of communication that she and I are at. Pyrenees are known to have very independent natures but Charleigh responds to the commands very well. She understands every word. Julie has been very accommodating: if one method of training didn’t work too well for us she had other ideas. She works well with our dog who immediately recognized that Julie had a persona that dogs understand as “she who must be obeyed”! . Julie was so loving and kind with Charleigh. We quickly learned one doesn’t have to be aggressive to get your dog to obey. Julie gave us lots of time to practice what she was teaching us to make sure that we “got it” so we could be sure to teach Charleigh correctly. We’ve not quite finished our lessons so we’re looking forward to whatever she has in store for us.

I rescued an 8 y/o Husky-and was totally unfamiliar with this breed! Julie is a game changer. Loki, escape artist, pulled me down several times, etc. i signed up for Julie’s “in home training “. She also trained ME. Loki is now a well mannered dog-knows how to heel, stay, sit. I am so very happy with Austin Dog Manners!
