From the moment I brought my 4-month-old field golden retriever to her, it was clear that she not only has a deep knowledge of dog behavior but also an incredible amount of love and care for the dogs she works with. Kelly is a savior! I adopted the sweetest (young) yet most untrusting dog this year who has a lot of energy and was consistently kicked out of dog boarding places bc of his fear responses and jumping fences. Kelly came recommended by my other trainer as someone who could train him and board him. I quickly reached out to Kelly and she was fast to respond and wanted to know a lot about my dog that I didn't realize was relevant (but now understand is very relevant), and she was sympathetic and reassuring which was eased my worries right from the start. She is a dog whisperer and really understands dogs. We had a couple sessions first where she pointed out key traits that I would not have noticed and what type of training would work best for my dog. She is not pushy, and respects the dog's space and hesitancies. She took my dog for a couple weeks to train and board and it was the best decision I made. She understood my dog better than me and was very caring and gave detailed reports daily (with the cutest photos). My dog returned in the best of spirits (and missed Kelly), was calmer and continues to be on his way to becoming a well mannered dog. I HIGHLY recommend Kelly for training a dog that has special quirks or is a tough dog to handle. Kelly really understands the dog's psychology and crafts plans for your dog.
