Athens Dog Training San Ramon

I hired two previous “trainers” and just did not make any progress with either of them. I contacted Mitchell Moore at Athens Dog Training, registered for private lessons and wow, what a difference. He works with the dog owner, (me), so I can work with my dog. We made great progress. His approach is all based on rewards for good behavior, nothing negative and no punishment for the dog. I will be signing up for their next program, Board & Train. This is a wonderful investment training program so you and your dog can co-exist in harmony. Hands down, highly recommend!

We purchased the puppy package and worked with Mitch. Our experience was exactly what we were hoping for and more. Mitch is knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. He has a great way of pushing for progress in training and giving direct feedback while balancing it with knowing when everyone—humans and dog—need a break. Mitch was a lifeline in the early weeks of having our puppy and not knowing much about what to do. He has also gone above and beyond to listen to our concerns as they arise and help us problem solve. We just started attending puppy classes at Pet Food Express in Castro Valley, and those are excellent as well.

Annalie, Carter, Danny and the whole team at Athens Dog Training San Ramon is amazing and exceeded our expectations. We started board & train with Athens early on for our 4 month old Samoyed puppy (Snowball) to ensure that he would be successful early on in life. Through the process we ended up training ourselves too and learned more in a short amount of time than what we could have learned doing our own research. Along with a full board and train program, we also worked with Annalie for in-home puppy training. Our Snowball now waits patiently for us to prep his food and signal to eat. He’s no longer a door dasher, waits patiently by the door and doesn’t jump on visitors when they enter our home. She also taught him how to jump into the car within 5 seconds when we fail to get him to do it for months on our own. We feel so lucky to have met and had Annalie as our puppy & dog trainer.
