At Attention Dog Training

We couldn't be happier with Alicia at At Attention Dog Training. My VERY anxious rescue hound was impossible to manage when we brought him home -- reactive, pacing, unable to settle, a nervous wreck. Walking him was miserable as he'd bark and lunge at every dog we passed. Alicia patiently helped him work through his issues with suggestions to help him manage his fear until he even began to look forward to meeting other dogs while out. Most importantly, she helped us learn how to keep the training going after the sessions were over. My dog will always have a nervous temperament, but now he is a pleasure to walk and he seems much happier, too. Highly, highly recommend Alicia at At Attention Dog Training! -- Judy & Nick

We did 2 puppy class series when our pup was 4 months old. We learned the most effective way to train her and she was able to socialize with the other puppies. Classes were small and i private which we liked. Vania was an excellent trainer and our pup loved her. After the classes were over we used Vania for some private sessions. I am proud to say that our young one year old dog is now a certified therapy dog. We could not have done it without At Attention and Vania. I highly recommend them.

We've been with AADT since our dog was a puppy, completing puppy boot camp and advanced training. Recently, we started at-home training with Vania to address specific home issues like our dog's interactions with our cat, reactivity to the vacuum, and guest greetings. We are BEYOND happy with the progress we've made! Before training, our dog would relentlessly chase our cat and not listen to us, making them unable to share space. We were worried for both animals' safety as their interactions were growling/hissing/and cat attempting to scratch the dog. It was stressful for everyone - us and the animals. In three short sessions our lives have improved significantly - and both our animals are much happier and can co-exist! Our dog can now be in the same room as the cat and does not chase nor seeks out the cat. Our cat is much less stressed knowing the dog is under control and is not in a defensive mode any longer. The cat/dog interactions was our main reason for starting at-home training sessions, but we have worked on so many other things during our time together. Vania's calm approach and clear communication were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend AADT and Vania!
